My name is Kevin. On the internet I'm known as Aberu. I have been around here and there playing all sorts of games competitively. At my peak of performance I was ranked 6th in the US at Command and Conquer Red Alert 2 playing Soviet (Iraq) and am best friends with my rival who was 5th in the US as an Allied (Korea). Possibly the best player of the Korean faction to be honest at the time.
I then got sucked into the world of the no skill zone, aka MMORPG's. This humongous waste of my time was perpetuated for many years until I realized once again my passion for competition with DotA Allstars. I know, I know, there is a lot of hate for the game here, but it really is just as difficult as many others, but in a different way. It requires the most knowledge of flow and "Yomi" out of almost any game I have played. There are so many possibilities, and in league play the picking of heroes and the metagame before the game has even been loaded is unbelievable.
I then took a small break from DotA after being frustrated with not being able to make a team worthy of winning a scrim against a decent clan or making it any further than losing every round in CALeague. I decided competition wasn't for me. Then came Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which I had played Melee casually. I decided to play brawl at a tournament level, and had relative success taking 2nd and 3rd at a couple tournaments in doubles, and highest singles placing at 7th beating a few noteworthy players at the time. Took a hiatus due to needing a promotion at work, all the training and sustaining involved was too time consuming to have Saturday's off for tournaments anymore.
As a newcomer to Starcraft entirely I am making it my goal to play at least somewhat well, make it pretty good in Platinum league, maybe advance the metagame in some way. So far I am just learning and adapting, and getting my butt handed to me. My ident is filleracount.tim which has nothing to do with who I am, it was given to me by a friend since he got an extra. Add me and help me get better, heck it's a free win for most of you vets on here.

Wow nice first post!
Good luck in becoming a better SC2 player. My goal is to be a solid platinum player since last season I could barely maintain a 50% win ratio.
Also there's a thread dedicated just for HoN/DotA, and might actually one of the biggest threads on the forum lol:

Anyways, gl hf!

I'm all about the metagame

I was AberuDQ back in RA2. Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone.
Right now I'm bronze and struggling, I get really frustrated because I am good at games, but this one is entirely new to me, so I'm still learning hotkeys, managing macro, and haven't even touched much on micro yet, so I'm way behind everyone else so far.
