The other contests just give so much entertainment that I think its worth it. Besides, they're really fun to do ^^. R1CH's contests are insane. And then afterward I'm always like "crap, I could've figured that out". Okay, maybe not always. Anyway, his puzzles are awesome. I participate just because I want to know the answer since I probably wouldn't use a beta key much even if I got one.

And of course, they want individuals to spend a fair amount of time playing the game. The more time spent playing means the number of bugs encountered increases, and the load placed on Battle.net is more aggressive. The best tester does whatever he/she wants; some will focus on general play, some will try to break the ladder system, the map editor, the UI, etc. Diversity is golden, and the moment you give testers a specific task you degrade the variation in action. The best tester is you (and you, and you...), not a core crowd of Starcraft elites focused on a particular subset of the game mechanics. After all, an open beta like this is primarily for hardware and load testing.

Sadly i haven´t been able to do anything because i have my a levels next weeks but when i´m done with that im sure as hell gonna do something for TL just because i have the feeling that i need to give something back for the sheer awesomeness that is TL. I fully trust the TL admins and when they think it´s a good idea to give away beta keys to new people then they should. These people who are just here for the Betakeys and will stop playing the game after a few weeks won´t stay for long anyway

The staff have really tried to give them out to all deserving people first, and then help many contests allowing people to try their best to get beta keys.

It's true I register in TL.net in order to get a Beta key somehow, but I have been following the forum, watching all videos on youtube and played SC1....

Therefor what is the point of holding this keys if the full game is on its way... And if you really talking about testing the game, the game does not need only experienced player. Blizzard need a variety of players in order to get a complete test, let the noobs net there keys, please. Still, right now there is little excuse NOT to have the beta, just pre-order the game. Also, welcome.
