Third blog about One Piece. Am on Episode 110 of dubbed anime, they are about to fight Crocodile. No spoilers please.
One Piece has officially passed Bleach as my favorite anime/manga now. Very very strong story and characters are really what do it. Luffy in particular is an inspiring guy, always so optimistic. Can't wait to see how they take down this wind wind fruit crocodile guy.
Only sadness is that I think up to episode 130 has been released in the funimation dub that I follow, and an extra 15 episodes come out every 1-2 months. Don't think I want to switch to the subbed version, fell in love with the characters with the voices they have, couldn't give it up.

has my dubbed ones. There are three English dubs btw, the latest (and best) is by Funimation and is being released in fifteen-episode blocks as we speak. I don't know anything about subbed episodes except that I'd imagine they are much easier to find.

Have there been any fillers in the anime? Like episodes that have nothing to do with the manga plot/storyline.

Yes, though some of them have been good. In fact one of my fav episodes (ep 99) was a filler. Here is a list:

crocodile has the sand sand power, not the wind wind power. the person that comes closest to a "wind wind fruit" would be erik the whirlwind (ep56 onwards), but even its name is sickle/scythe and not wind.

how far did funimation dub op so far, meaning how far can you catch up, or are you at the edge of those 15ep blocks already?
Stops at episode 130. On May 11th Up to episode 144 comes out.

One thing I find interesting (without spoiling it applies to this arc you are up to as well) is how defeated people are or are not 'finished off'. Sometimes it seems to take quite a while before you find out!
Man I wanna watch more but I have to wait for it to air lol

i guess youre talking about semi important characters here that they actually fight, but what also strikes me as boring and somewhat annoying in the end is that they just send generic opponents flying all the time instead of actually fighting them. doesnt exactly make the studio look very caring, which makes me a little sad.
anyways, 445 came out like 1-2hours ago. did you watch it already, too?
oh, whats all you guys favourite funny op moment? i laughed so hard at the scene in the baratie with zoro, luffy and the glass. still laughing everytime i see it. maybe some part of it was the german dub, which was really well done though. so no idea how the other versions compare.

For some reason I find Buggy the Clown hilarious. Used to seem to be an annoying cartoon character but his constant failures have now become funny.

Man there's a whole bunch, I can't specifically remember one... also there are a ton of 'little things' that aren't noteworthy in a discussion but I really appreciate throughout the episodes... sometimes they overdo it but whatever
