Once upon a time I played quake(world) with Carnage clan, we basically ruled. I am 34 now, this was so long ago it could just as well have been a different life.
But today I felt a weird connection with the young gamer in me, as a promising zerg could not come to any other conclusion than me maphacking (lol). Too long have I gone unaccused of hacks and aimbots, this totally saved my day!
Today looked to be a really bad day, I could not execute the simplest of builds or gameplans, and my ELO was dropping like a rock. This game was going down the drain as well; having just sent out a small taskforce, I managed to place another factory in stead of a starport and a cc, just one of those days...
But watch how the little task force does quite well and the epic exit by the zerg (edit: I'm terran in this game)
Watch it! (changed to mediafire)

I got accused of maphacking in a tvt. Basically I go MM and this terran is trying to expand quickly on Kulas Ravine. He holds off my attack with a couple of tanks and I retreat to the hidden area to the side of the nat behind the vision blocking grass. I send an scv to scout his nat from the main part of the map and encounter his army moving out as he floats his command center out to land. I then move in with my army before he gets his tanks set up and take him out. After his nat dies he says something like "nice hack buddy" to which I respond "watch the replay" and he says something like "I don't need to watch the replay to see you hacking".
So basically when someone calls you a hacker it's another way of saying "fuck you noob I'm better but you got very lucky"

Yeah, I'm not bothered by his BM, just woke me up remembering how people just can't see past their own suckiness.
At least in quakeworld, many of the players accusing others were behind a really bad connection, playing 150ping vs 25ping, and to them others were magically running around actually hitting stuff :p

Everything is considered hacks to a newbie nerb narb

Haha it always makes me feel a little proud inside to be accused of hacking when I've never hacked in my life. I haven't had anyone accuse me of hacking in SC2 yet, but I've had a couple people make ridiculous excuses as to why they lost. I played this TvZ a few days ago where it turned into this amazingly close huge army macro war, and I eventually pulled out on top and won, and the guy goes "ur lucky i was distracted my gf is here" and leaves the game.

Being distracted by his girlfriend, well it might sound nicer than it really was, maybe she was yelling for him to do the dishes or something :p
But still, 99% of the players I have met in EU are polite; my last opponent even called himself slow, and thb I know the feeling this late at night (after work + chores + our child+dog a.s.o.)

the ol' "ZOMG HAX" excuse is one of the oldest, and least effective; the other player, knowing that they do not hack, say to themselves "what a newb". And if they do hack, knowing in the full that they do hack, will say to themselves, "what a newb".
Unless it is blatantly obvious that the opponent hacks (99999 minerals and gas in SC1 results screen, etc.) it usually is fairly hard for the player who calls out the HAX to justify that their opponent was hacking, as some people have that magic luck that calls them to lay a couple of mines near their turrets in case of a recall, etc (which is also known as game sense).
Thus, the "ZOMG HAXZ" excuse is worthless. Plz stick to complaining about three girls giving you head at once while trying to micro your spine crawler plz.

I found it funny that the least exiting and most a-move-easy-victory of the night turned into a complaint about me hacking (I'm the winning terran in the game, not the complaining zerg).
Not sure what you are ranting about, or if its directed at me, but I hope it made you feel better

of course, i know it wasn't you accusing the other player of hacking. Just saying how silly it seems to me for players to accuse others of hacking for the most part (unless, as stated before, it is blatantly obvious).

If someone accuses me of hacking, I take it as a compliment of how pro I am.
Player1: you fukin haker neobowman: kthnxbai

This is so typical.
In fact, every time I use Shades (it's an invisible scout) in wc3 I get to be called a maphacker.

I got called a hacker once in Sc2 and it made my day

Just joking.. I played WC3 way too long before changing back to SC aswell.
