That's right my friends, I find myself bearing the terrible news that Augustana College's journey along the CSL has come to an end. Just as I was preparing for this week's match, 3 of my teammates approached me with guilt in their eyes. It seems that they just didn't want to play anymore, they weren't willing to make any kind of time commitment and thought it was best to just give up. This puts me, and my one other teammate who wants to continue, in an unfortunate position. It seems Augustana College's SC1 team is no more...
While it is really sad news for me and Obliv, I suppose that's just the way the cookie crumbles. But I want this blog to be one last shout out to USC and UCD for being fantastic sports and making my first ever CSL experience and really fun time. I wish with all my heart that I could continue on with you guys, but it doesn't look like I can convince them otherwise. So again, to all the gents at USC and UCD, great games and thanks for the hospitality and fun, you guys make me want to come back for more.
Hopefully when I'm off to grad school next year, I'll be able to hop on their team and try for a more successful season. Thanks again CSL, have a good one!

Man... it's particularly depressing when teams quite halfway through the season since it screws with the matches already played and it's too late to reorganize divisions. Better if it happened early on...
Then again though, your situation is understandable. Hope you had fun while it lasted!

We had a scheduled match against UCR for last Sunday, and they never submitted a lineup...tried talking to the CSL admins about it and they never responded

Shitty. I think you should try to stick it out, and find some more people to replace those deserters.

Sorry gents, it kills me to leave as well. But Augie is such a small school, and I had a hard enough time trying to convince my friends to join together, that any recruiting efforts I made were complete failures...

You never confirmed back with an email. In addition, last week was a mess due to iccup being down. We couldn't even finish our officially scheduled match.
