If the opponent army is only ground then you also need some to be of any real use, like lifting and sniping siege tanks, HT, inmortals or zerg casters (if there are any). Which is an important early investment for a very late and not that great payoff (siege tanks cost almost the same as phoenix). Like carriers but with less investment and smaller profit. So for now the only real use i can see for them is PvZ. Sniping queen early on with void ray, scout + harass overlords and late game lifting zerg casters before the battle. | ||
