As far as TL being worth hundreds of thousands of dollars: I'm a bit skeptical as to the legitimacy of this claim. Who would buy teamliquid for $200k +? Nothing is worth anything without a buyer. Anybody remember the south park episode where all the big internet memes were arguing about how much theoretical money they were worth?
Furthermore, that value has to come from somewhere, and I have trouble believing it's generated entirely by the adds for the ASL and "Gratuitous Space Battles" up at the top of the page. I think if someone offered to buy TL for 200k, the response would be an automatic, easy, "no way." Not even close.

I refuse to believe this website is accurate.
Top 15 viewed sites in USA are mostly porn/weird. As funny as it may be to believe this.. there is no way all these sites trump the likes of yahoo and google (surely google, with its porn searching abilities would be higher on this list).
As i'm disinclined to accept there is any truth in their top15 list, i'm also very skeptical of their figures regarding how much a given site is worth.
Sounds like they have a vague idea of a sites hits, multiply it by some bullshit coefficient and viola.
Teamliquid is worth well over 200k.

Try checking out the value of the popular websites out there like facebook, google, etc. google is valued at like 2.41b USD.
I'm not sure what this top 10 list is of, but I dont care really. What I'd really like to know is how they come up with these values.

It's over NINE THOUSAND! ...at least.

the value of the website is based on the daily page views, and the top 15 is definitely not accurate since facebook google and myspace should occupy the first places for sure

Yeah, 2.4 billion for google.com is waaaay off.. Google makes more than that each year.

top #11 for sweden is "www.hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.com"
Which has 65 pageviews / day.
I think this is somewhat flawed haha
Edit: That page doesnt even exist.

Your edit made me LOL so hard for some reason.
But yeah I think those sites are really inaccurate. I've used them in the past and it said some website I was running with a couple friends was worth like 300$. There's no way anyone would have ever paid 300$ for the site I had.
Its more of matching them up by popularity I guess, but even then I prefer google trends (yes I know trends is based off search queries and not visits to the site, but still)

During the summer people have reason to be on holiday etc. School year = need somewhere to procrastinate.
Interesting, but I wasn't actually serious jeez.

TL will be/is worth alot more(dedication of the staff) with SC2 on the verge of releasing. Esports is taking forever to boom in america with how the stock-market is and such.
Image macro ftw! + Show Spoiler +This is tl.net with gg.net as you know who. For a million dollars it would be a dumb move on the owner and the staff. Christ Sakes why even ask if you would sell it? I love this site!

what is the definition for TeamLiquid.net? if it is just the code & contents i'd gladly sell it for 200k.

Because the posters are transferable and the archive is copyable. If the contributors are regarded as assets belonging to teamliquid that'd be one thing but if they're just customers who enjoy the teamliquid brand then you could sell the brand while moving them to a new one. It'd be a lot of hassle to promote a new name but 200k spent on community events out to get the name out there and make everything alright.

oh god the most viewed sites...

Your crazy. TL is priceless...

+ Show Spoiler +Reach Rank 13921 14966 16633 13568
This site is obviously flawed, reachs manliness rank should be OVER 9000^2
Also the amount of Reachs per million is way off, should be below 1.

TL is the largest Starcraft site on the scene, a portal that has been up for over 7 years and features a massive userbase, tons of original content and commands significant influence over the wider community. If you'd sell that for 200k, well... let's just say you are in desperate need of financial advice. For that amount they'd probably get half a sidebar or something though.
