Comedy answers welcomed - I'm probably asking for it posting something like this ^_^;; So, it's the off-season and despite the full calendar here at Teamliquid most of the events are not worth photographing. This is due to a lack of players attending or general issues I have with their format. The massive amounts of down-time have led me to notice I only actually have three hobbies and I wanted to ask for some suggestions as to how to occupy my time (and not spend all my money in the process because I'm saving again for another lens.) My Current Hobbies:~ Photography. ~I'm planning to branch out into other areas of photography such as doing landscapes, plus more floral and animal work. However, finding the motivation without a 'partner' to spur me on when it comes to leaving the house has been tough to say the least. ~ Shopping. ~My biggest vice in Korea is the book stores and my love of imported photo books (great inspiration for photo shoots.) accounts for most of the money I don't spend on camera equipment and food. Once I've hit the shops I like for the month there's no real need to go back to them until the next delivery though. ~ Watching dramas and movies. ~I'm an avid fan of dramas (mainly Japanese because most Korean ones are a bit too melodramatic and romantic for my tastes.) I've been a bit disappointed by this season's releases though and I'd love suggestions as to what *else* I could be watching. About me:I'm terrible at socialising. In between usually being too tired to go out, being at eSports events and having low self-confidence I don't really go out much. So it's more solitary hobbies or things to do I'm interested in. I have plenty of spare cash, but most of it is going on a lens this month - so free things to do are even better than those which cost money. My Own Ideas:~ Expand my photography and get off my ass to do it. ~ Focus on dieting and take long walks. ~ Explore Seoul. ~ Watch something in English for once. ~ Go to more concerts (I have two in the next two months!) ~ Way more eSports projects. ~ Sit down and actually try to study Korean.

get out of seoul.
the countryside of korea (aka every part that is not seoul) is quite beautiful and there are nice sauna type locations out there. don't know the price ranges on those things but last time i visited korea my aunt dragged me into the "farmlands" and that was honestly the time i enjoyed the most. the food in the countryside is very good as well. much better than the delivery jja jjang myun.

=D The time has come!
Let's see... I always like to suggest something active that can take up a lot of time. Do you like to swim maybe? Play a particular sport? I dunno what people play in Korea... Other than starcraft that is! Anyway, running or exercising in any way tends to take up long periods of time and make all the other periods of time more fun. That's my suggestion.
Also, eat more toast. It has magic powers.
If you're looking for something to waste your time with watch the West Wing. The first four seasons are the best television of all time.

Dramas always leave me feeling like I want more and I don't really like waiting to find out what happens. I always get that feeling of just blah after a drama ends, too. I just watch variety shows instead.

if you have memory on your rig, download and watch movies.

read! heck, there's a lot of good korean language authors should you want to go that route

I surf Wikipedia and teach myself math stuff. I love math, and I don't mind thinking in my free time, but that's not true for a lot of people. Sure makes math class easier though.

Pick up some kind of sport. Maybe a racket sport such as like squash, tennis, or racquetball? Something you can always practice by yourself once you get the basics down (various shots, serving, conditioning).

Id go with socialize with TLers more, via irc, pm or msn or the like.
that or random new dieting methods, new exercises, drinking with susie, etc...
For instance, in my spare time, im now reading a bunch of new books, writing, and exercising. The last two I used to do alot and loved but stopped for some reason, and reading im trying to get to a book a week (over the 5 in one month then stop reading for 3-4 months).
Just find something you find fun that you don't normally do and just do alot of it.

Read to expand and better your writing style, perhaps for Fomos!
I'm not saying I don't like your reports. They're excellent, but it's always great as a writer to expand your horizons and absorb new little things into your writing style!
If you want interesting things in English I suggest Mark Danielewski or Chip Kidd.

Proposal Daisakusen (Operation Love)
Liar Game (Based on the manga and the manga is better)
Kurosagi is pretty good too
I suggest mangas to keep you busy, a lot of films are based on mangas because their storylines tend to be good (the good ones anyway)

how is it that the most obvious answer has not yet been innuendoed yet?
SOLITARY ACTIVITY THAT ONE INDULGES IN, LOW COST, BURNS CALORIES, TRAINS FINGER DEXTERITY, CAN BE DONE DAMN NEAR ANYWHERE ANY TIME, IS EXPLORATORY, AND IF IT SUITS YOUR FLAVOR, EVEN GOES WELL WITH PHOTOGRAPHY!!!
...
OF COURSE, I am talking about pen spinning. And in the case that you don't have a pen, you could always borrow someone else's =D.
And since you want to branch out your video watching selection, if you need help getting started, there are plenty of english AND japanese videos that could help you learn and practice.
