I've had a lot on my plate recently and I need a place to vent =( There's no point to this blog really. It's just a blog of recent events in my life.
Some of you know that I go to the University of Waterloo and that I'm in a co-op program. Well, thanks to the shitty economy, many people had trouble finding a job, including me.
Eventually, I managed to find a part-time job as a tutor at an academy but it turns out the university screwed up and I can't get my co-op credit with part-time work. There was a 30 hours/week minimum requirement that was overlooked when the job was posted on the university website. So I felt even more stressed at the prospect of having to find a new full time job in a short time window.
I suppose I was very lucky to get a call for an interview the day before I found out that I couldn't get my co-op credit from the tutoring job. It was a Junior Business Analyst job for a big energy company. I had initially turned down the interview because I thought I was gonna get my credit but called back the next day, had the interview an hour later, and got the job offer about 5 hours after. So all-in-all, it worked out ok... right? Sort of.
Amidst my stressful job-hunting, I had signed up for a distance ed course (intro to psych), a professional development course (mandatory for co-op students), the first act sci exam (P Exam -- paid $200 to register for this beast), and private tutoring for a friend's brother. This was all under the assumption that I'll be working part time and have a lot of free time to do all these things.
Now, I'm working full time, I have my act sci exam next Monday, and I need to do homework for those two courses I'm taking, as well as spend 5-6 hours a week tutoring. I'm feeling so overwhelmed right now, I don't even know what to do. I have too much on my plate. I promised myself (i.e. write on my msn name) that I won't play sc until the end of my exam but even today, I came back from work, took a nap because I was so tired, ate dinner, and went to tutoring. I came back home at 11:30 -- having to wake up at 7 for work and I haven't done any studying at all. Hopefully it'll all work out and I pass the exam without too much difficulty. Lots of work ahead for me before that though.

Let me know how the actuarial exam goes and your thoughts on it.
Have you taken probability in college before? A calculus-based course, I'm assuming?
Are you nervous? Excited?

Yeah, I've taken stat and calc before so a lot of the material is review. Still, there's a lot to cover and I'm not even done the calculus review yet, let alone the practice questions. Gonna be studying hardcore this weekend lol

I feel and know what you mean. If it makes you feel better, I won't be going home anytime soon from this school library cafe because of various assignments I gotta do for tomorrow and day after all on my very own birthday....
That being said, good luck with your exam. Definitely get that nice rest and cold-turkey SC for a bit until everything is being cleared up to the point you're free as a butterfly for at least a week. That's what I'm doing... I need that 4.0 gpa no matter what this semester so here I am...

fulltime work and studying is a near-impossible combination.

입깨물고, 끝까지 일하면서 조금만 고생하는것. 나중엔 좋은 경험이였다고 생각할거야. Hang in there bro!
