It's really horrible that you have to go through that, I hope it clears up soon.
I appreciate the work you do on TL, thanks

Some variants it's completely unrelated to diet and theres no particular diet that will make things better (given its healthy, ofc). Other variants are a lot less forgiving =/for some reason i am sure you can do a lot by switching to a specific diet should definitely do as much research as you can, especially non traditional medicine. A life-changing piece of advice I learned a few years back was to use a few layers of toilet paper to make a sort of "shit pillow" to prevent splashback, for both solid and liquid shit. Works wonders.

I mean, if you're not too dumb, shitting 10 times a day should ring a bell -_-; anyway, these things are a pain to deal with. GL

GL Well it only really started stepping up in frequency within the last two months. I saw my GP asap afterwards, and the specialist could only take me yesterday. I didn't see a doctor earlier because a) They didn't find anything earlier b) It required me to take a large chunk of time out of my life to fix it c) The problems were still manageable (although slowly getting worse) Anyway photos are up now, you can see the damage for yourself. As a side note, now that I'm eating food again and the sedative has pretty much worn off... my god it hurts =[

Looks awfully a lot like ulcerative colitis... but then again a lot of that stuff looks the same because inflammation of tissues is similar. Hopefully, you get some good results back. Doesn't really look like there's any polyps or anything so that's a good sign.

I'm hoping I dont =/ UC sounds fucking terrible T_T Nah, I am currently applying to PT school. I did apply to med school, but then didn't get in (and decided that I wanted to do PT instead -- well, it'd be between ortho (bones, ligaments, etc) vs. neuromuscular and I'm more interested working neuromuscularly). Keep us updated! I still think a Paleo diet would do you some good (along with fish oil supplementation for the inflammation). At least check it out!

Sad story though, but I guess these days there's enough options for gluten-free diets. Why didn't you see a doctor earlier? I mean, sure, it was manageable, but not really enjoyable. You surely must have realized something was wrong earlier, no?

Ok, no offense meant here but I'm on 2 hours of sleep and a shitton of caffein drinks and when I clicked open that colonoscopy picture spoiler I almost vomited. You surely must have realized something was wrong earlier, no? I dont think IBD needs a gluten free diet (thank god, I don't know how I'd live without gluten T_T). But yea, I should have gone earlier (thats what my gf has been hammering into me anyway) but it was always inconvenient due to school and exams and whatnot so i just kept putting it off - since that was the easy option =/ Not a good excuse I know, but that's how I justified it to myself

Maybe i should go to the doctor too. Basicly i can't drink caffeine anymore and if i'm highly stressed and/or tired my stomach/intestine hurt. ( I fucking hate it when it happens during exams... ). Seems also like i don't really handle pastas well ( gluten ? maybe ) so i switched to a more rice oriented alimentation. Good luck and keep us updated.

I hope you have a very easily manageable variant of IBS and not ulcerative colitis. Now it has been identified I hope it no longer impacts your life and studies so much, stay strong be gosi!!!
