Stylish and Understated: We Made Fox.
The Avalon MSL kicked off last week with a group selection evening held at LOOX's MBC Hero Centre. The majority of the players from all, bar one of the main twelve proleague teams showed their determination (and their self-conscious sides.) with a simple glance towards the cameras' lens or a solitary fist clenched in an illustration of motivation.
The Undisputed Kings of Ceremonies: NaDa and Pure.
However, amongst these chosen few two unexpected members of a particular team stood out and treated their fans to a demonstration of vivid personality and playfulness that will not soon be forgotten.

Lee Yunyeol, a long-standing veteran whose fans know no boundaries in terms of continent, stunned the gathered Korean Fox fans, the audience at home and those watching numerous live streams over the internet from their own countries with his accomplished dancing and mature style. Clad in a fashionable ensemble of simple denim and black with a touch of accentuation to his gaze Yunyeol gave 2pm's Again and Again' the royal treatment after Woongjin's Yoon Yongtae (Free) found his nerves getting the better of him when he tried to make his entrance accompanied by the same popular melody.
Lee Yunyeol: Displaying a fresh side of himself for 2009.
Yunyeol managed in those scant seconds of pure attitude and personality to communicate what some fans have been desperately seeking in past months - a sense of fun within the world of professional StarCraft. By not taking himself overly seriously Nada not only showed his fans the gamer they've come to know and love, but also probably earnt himself the admiration of the upcoming new generation of Esports devotees for such a bold and exciting display.
He was followed by HiYa (Kyu Sunghoon) from Hwaseung OZ; whose cheeky homage to former team mate Park Jisoo (ForGG) led to a spate of close ups where the KT MagicNs player tried to suppress his emotions whichever way they were leaning towards.
Fan favourite Shin Heesung (UpMagiC) also made the crowd gasp with his display of illusion in a neat MSL themed ceremony. The usual suspects of Lee Sungeun and a highly embarrased Yoon Yongtae tried their hand at dance moves and an energetic tone was set for the ceremonies of the night.
Then something shocking occured.
As the amount of players left to place their names upon the initial group boards rapidly diminished it appeared as though the gathered fans would be indulged with no more antics.
Then Park Seojeong (Pure) walked confidently down the red carpet, guided by an attendant clad in black formal wear. It was just before reaching the point where players paused for the cameras that he faltered, touching a reluctant hand to his stomach and then turned away with a pained expression.
Shaking things up at MSL: Park Seojeong.
A collective chorus of surprised voices and intakes of breath resounded through the studio as the calm and cool We Made player doubled over with a thin stream of blood trickling from his lips.
Was he sick?
Or was this just an elaborate and creative ruse designed to stun the fans into sitting up and taking notice?
In silence the audience waited until Seojeong straightened up and an uncharacteristically wicked smile crossed his scarlet painted lips.
Sit up and take notice: We Made Fox's determination.
His work here was done. Even if HiYa went on to win the ceremony prize the fans were taking notice, after such a vivid and creative display how could they not?
