and i clearly stated off topic ^ ^ those two ( before em ) were contenders to BEST HIP HOP SONG EVER. true classics this thread needs to be skimmed of all the crap that's being posted especially that souja boy here's one that i haven't listened in a while. Big Pun feat. Black thought -- Super lyrical and who ever said they were looking for black thought, he has yet to do something alone. get some Beanie siegel here too, for reference

It's not even like that at all. Lot of my friends still like Atmosphere, Jedi Mind Tricks, Sage Francis, whatever. I mean the shit is better than 90% of everything else but its just the worst of the best imo. I mean I liked atmosphere's first album but every single release after that (save for a few songs) is progressively worse. Now they are only 2 members, and can be seen selling out on MTV2 making catchy songs that appeals primarily for girls (Zulu and I were talking about this recently). Also, many of you would be surprised how many underground beats make it into commercials and other 'pop' stuff. And it's just about selling out either, they can still make the money and keep it real without having to try and sell records. Most of the guys still work day jobs or whatever and they make their songs that people can relate with. They don't let their wealth or any label or whatever corrupt them. So the only thing they have to fear is running out of content or their style just getting old, so many of these guys will change styles or evolve into another style and it sucks. So like take immortal technique for example, he tries to sound intelligent, political, and tough at the same time, like he grew up in the mean streets etc. Its just really annoying and almost as bad as the gangster Master P crap. His beats are all floaty and classical sounding which also pisses me off because it makes him come off as some kind of enlightened soldier or something. The content isn't that great, his lyrics/rhyming ability is run of the mill (nigga this, nigga that from time to time), and his delivery is more commercial style than anything else. All his songs are basically the same thing he's always rhyming about how great he is or how terrible others are. This is one of those things that should go unsaid if you are good (except for battle rhymes). Then you got all these fanboys totally jocking his nuts and cheesey graff fonted name. I dunno maybe I am just biased against east coast shit because I don't relate as much.

jay z- history. this is a new song and tells a great story with an amazing beat cassidy - get retarded. This song is a litlte gangsta but the dudes metaphors are insane. hes the best rapper that isnt famous right now. his mixtapes are NOTHING LIKE his cd's so please dont be hasty and think you know him because you heard my drink and my two step. cassidy & game - aim ya gunz. this maybe is the best duo of all time in a rap song and its just rediculous. once again gangsta but please listen to this to understand how rediculous cassidy's metaphors are and how great of a rapper he is. deltron 3030 - 3030. this is a real trippy backpack rap song about the future that may be. A real tripy song and a must have for smokers. souls of mischief(hieroglyphics) - cab fare. this song is really chill and older school rap but is just a great listen. Tells the stories from different perspectives of taxis. biggie - i got a story to tell. this is another great song from a famous rapper but maybe a song you havent heard of his. not realy radio play or any known recent remix's of this song so a great find. I just posted these because there probally songs people havent listened to ever. I have about 20 gigs of all types of rap and any questions or suggestions on any type of rap songs or new artists or classics or underground let me know and ill be happy to answer

Nas - One Mic - I don't think anyone will ever beat the lyrics in this song IMO, I hadn't seen the video before, but even the video owns ass http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xeykd_nas-one-mic Raekwon - Guillotine (Swords) http://se.youtube.com/watch?v=bk8SMperwS8&hl=sv Wu Tang - Shame on a Nigga http://se.youtube.com/watch?v=knnav0aIkEI&hl=sv GZA - Pencil - from GZA's latest album pro tools, not as good as liquid swords (obviously) but I reccomend all wu tang fans to check it out, because he's still got it http://se.youtube.com/watch?v=AoT11BpsBBg&hl=sv Mos Def - Mathematics - Dj Premier, need I say more? http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x438q_mos-def-mathematics_music Jay-Z and Notorious BIG - Brooklyn's Finest - god I love Reasonable Doubt http://se.youtube.com/watch?v=RXcxex7-148&hl=sv Finally: TCQ - Scenario - if this isn't a classic, then I don't know what is http://se.youtube.com/watch?v=JFZLq6R-ZtM&hl=sv

But yea that is sick. Have you seen the CREAM dare shirt? You didn't listen properly? The skits are just as important as the songs themselves..... or maybe not. He actually says, after they've calmed down, "they/he prolly' took the tape", which makes the others tell him to shut the fuck up. Anyway, CREAM dare shirt? Now I'm interested, after googling a bit, I think I get the point behind it. But since I've never seen a dare shirt in my life (not many in sweden have either I think, so the point would be kinda lost on me). I'd like to see it anyway, if there are any pictures.
