As an average BSL viewer, for me it is not 100% clear what happens if BSL16 goal is not met. There will be no BSL16? Or there will be one with less prize pool? Or? Also reflecting a bit to the original post. I think it would be better if there were clear goals towards the community/viewers about patreon and such (edit: I mean about Mr. Zzzero continuing organizing as a full time job). I know the financial part is complicated as there is a sponsor (Optimonk) and hopefully there could be others, so a potential patreon goal could depend a great deal on the potential sponsors. However I still think a clear goal on patreon (or similar) would give a better picture and more incentive to donate. Just one another thing: In the future (fingers crossed!) my suggestion would be to implement RCG's donation goal strategy, which is very clear: donation to the tournament goes right into the prize pool, if the goal is met there will be (was) another RCG if not then all the donated money went right into the prize pool so there were no questions regarding what will happen if the donation goal is not met. Of course there may be no questions now in BSL15 and maybe I'm the only one to whom it's not clear, but I think I saw a few comments about this as well during yesterday's games. Wishing the best and please don't take this post in the wrong way! I know it's complicated.

We have a deal with OptiMonk/Cameleon that he became a sponsor for BSL 2022 on a special terms - for the encouragement of future cooperation. Thus his support was enough for BSL14. We have an anonymous, but known by our community, sponsor for BSL15. And we don't have a sponsor for BSL16. That's why the goal is involving the prizepool as well as the production expenses of an event - in case I find a sponsor I will increase the prizepool, which I planned to do in the first place when I had more hope to find someone. If we won't meet the donation goal, obviously I will not escape with the money, but create BSL16 as the last season with a lower prizepool. Actually today is ~6 months of my work as a full time tour organizer. I'm not starving, but I'm earning less money than I used to in my regular job. I will try to make some kind of a sum up after this season ends.

No matter what happens next this was/still is a very enjoyable run.
