First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm a 16 years gamer, living and born in Spain, Terran user and being part of the national selection of my country. My APM is like 260 and I'm playing BW for like 2,5 years. I'm actually a former member of iG. team and.. no more, that's all ;p.
Recently, I'm making some FPVods and uploading them (I hope that they'll help some people). The quality is low and some of them don't have sound (that's because my main language is spanish, so probably trying to comment the VODs in english will be horrible). I'm doing them with the Camtasia Recorder, and compressing them with the Dr.Divx. The size of the vods is like 50-80 mb, but sometimes in the screen appears some green strides that I don't know how to delete them, so if anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it. I'll try to at least upload one VOD per day (some days I'll upload a full series, because showmatches or something like this).
Fpvods are always awesome, but don't let lack of English proficiency stop you from providing some commentary! If it's really helpful I'm sure some would be more than willing to translate for you ( i.e white-ra)
Cloud: most of them change, although I love them :D SnouvBob: the green bars show up when compressing the videos with the Dr.Divx, when I record them their size is like 800 mb for about 24 min, so I must compress them and that's why the green bars appears ;S
SonuvBob: I've tried Xvid and Virtual Dub too (<3 Spitfire) but it keeps the VODs with an huge size (like... if their size was 800 mb when compressing them is like 500-600 mb, still huge) although when compressing them with the Virtual Dub the green bars disappear. I've tried with 2 different PC's (ATI and NVidia graphic cards) and nothing, the green bars keep appearing. I've tried with 2-3 different softwares and codecs too, but no idea why they keep appearing t_T. Anyone who did any FPVod in the past could have the solution?
Thank you so much for trying to help, I hope to delete those stupid bars soon, they're so annoying.
Sounds like you're either setting the bitrate too high, or (more likely) not compressing the audio. If you think it might be the audio, try loading the compressed file in GSpot and checking the video/audio sizes (click the button next to 'Stat')
Yay, finally I made it =) I downloaded the MPEG 3 Layer codecs (for audio) and also configure a bit the Virtual Dub, so now the VOD's size is like 80 mb and the quality is way better, like 5x and without green bars =)
