Hold on, Yanokabo is just a little noob, we are still waiting for BigFan to wake up to watch the games, get mad and start criticising Flash like he had done with Last

He got roughly half the championship prize pool in terms of balloons received today, breaking his record for the most balloons received within a single day.

Effort is watching the games now with JD, wish I understood what they are saying... It appears to me like JD might be watching the games for the first time? Such insolence if were true!
I wish somebody translated this. We are missing so much lore due to the language barrier. Just Flash commentaries alone were golden the last time we had a translation.

Effort won games with semi cheese builds and savior won in outplaying his opponent
Loving the fact that Flash lost the series 3-2 but it is still pretty evident that nobody can beat Flash in a straight macro game in tournaments. Effort won with those because of timed build order counters and certainly Flash didn't expect it especially against his patented 1-1-1.
But as long as Flash is not winning every year, I'm content.

True, but with the current TvZ meta, these builds lend themselves to be punished, and Effort is doing just that. For example, if a P opens nexus vs. T, and T reacts by throwing SCVs and a bunker rush - is that considered being cheesy, or just punishing a greedy build that really shouldn't be happening? It's the same concept.
I was watching the finals on Larva/Brittany's stream - Flash's most hated build to play against was exactly what Effort did on Autobahn, because even if you know lings are coming, there are so many and you don't have speed on the vultures at that time. There's a price to pay if you're going to be teching like crazy and expanding like that with 1-1-1.
Effort, wow, so impressive! To beat Flash in a ASL finals in a Bo5 in the current map-pool, sick feat! So refreshing playstyle, just amazing. I was grinning through almost all of the series. Thank you, Afreeca for making this happen. And the casters - awesome job there! This was a treat!

I honestly really like Effort's burrow build. It's creative, it's effective and it's not a hard all-in just a very solid counter. Comparing him to Savior is not the comparison I would draw. Savior's playstyle was the exact opposite. Low apm, macro intensive and very strategic. Effort is on high apm, very aggressive and relies on execution and micro. I feel like Effort's playstyle is more volatile.
Can't believe I missed this live, for some reason I thought it was at a different time.
Seems like everyone came out happy after this final. We got a full Bo5, BW's competition is revitalised showing that Flash is indeed beatable, and even Flash himself was smiling so much after his loss that it's actually kinda scary how well he took it.
Rapid definitely stepped up his game for the final. Less blind assumptions/"filler" talk compared to when he casted with Artosis - very good effort to call out the bulids and echoing what the observer was showing. NoRegret did his job to keep Rapid on track and even though he's an SC2 guy, he can still sense shifts in the game and point out stuff Rapid missed. I thought it was a little touching that Rapid mentioned watching the KA S1 OSL final and never thinking he'd be casting the very same matchup 8 years later. You can't not admire a nerd fulfilling his dreams. We're all living vicariously through him in that regard.
I hope ASL continues to host good tournaments. I think it's still considerably better than KSL from the production value alone, though I can't complain about having more BW regardless.

That's like saying nobody can beat Jaedong in a macro game. Flash won those finals because of cheese.
