Unfortunately I have no vods of the 18 hatchery build, but if you check out some of his vods vs Flash in the beginning of 2018, then you're likely to run into one. I don't have more information on the build either, but the BO can probably be taken from a close position ZvP vod. I believe Day9 actually analyzed one of hero's ZvP builds in one of his vods so worth checking out.

back in 2008ish when i first saw this guy come into proleague i thought he might be the macro version of julyzerg
then u see his 400apm AVG. check his fpvods and you gotta tell yourself, there's no way this guy can't be a complete package.
it's not like he had whacky builds (though he did on many occaision) or consistenly won darkhorse/undercard games,
it's how quick he was that made you look him up, and the hype built up from there as he started to perform better and better, stopped dropping games to silly stuff, made consistent runs thru individual qualifiers and taking games off top players.
there was once a lot to learn from this guy, but now that time is over and i hope he enjoyed his progaming days.

I got this feeling, that when next wave of players goes to military it will truly be twilight of BW. Good article which leaves you so somber...

nice writeup! Could someone please elaborate on the close 3rd style? I saw hero vs flash on gold rush in ASL4 and I was just confused as to why he made a third so close, it just looked like suicide to me.

Awesome article, I love the BW content from BigFan and others thank you guys so much for doing it! Hero was a sick zerg, sad to see him go.
