Addons can no longer automatically create groups, even with a user pressing the button. The title and description can only be manually filled out. Users will have to manually add a title and create a group for world quests. You can't even paste text into the fields.
Happy with this one, has been ruining gameplay and server performance

I wish they would go further. I dont like how sharding is so untransparent and you can join any server anywhere at anytime.
I know sharding is mostly done for server population/performance, but it just feels lame and un-mmo-like to join one group after another, going thru shards getting wqs done. I'd prefer if you couldnt join a shard unless you were in a rested place.

Are we gonna have two different conflicting but "correct" stories for the faction war without a definitive version of what actually happened? It's pretty much a repeat of the Purge of Dalaran. Each side gets conflicting scenarios to get a cheap sense of faction conflict from players

I have literally zero interest in this expansion. Nothing really exciting and some classes feel incomplete still.

I mean, New raid, new dungeons are always going to be fun. I'm hoping that War Mode brings back world pvp and risk and reward into the world. Island expeditions look fun. I have no idea what to think of war fronts, but I'm excited how the Artahi Highlands flipping works, hopefully it'll be cool like Tol Barad/Wintergrasp.

After some of the recent beta patches i'm hyped for some stuff - music is great, lots of new dungeons, drustvar alliance is really cool and way longer than i expected. Havoc's easily in the least functional state that it's been in since 7.1.5 so that part is going really badly but could change quite dramatically overnight, it's something that requires hours of dev time and not months honestly. MM, Boomkin and Fury+Arms have got some nice changes.
Looking back at the class design through Legion i feel that Havoc was a mess in 7.0 but it was somewhat understandable as the first live version of the class and lacking tier, legendaries etc. It was ridiculously overpowered for AOE through the first 3 weeks which smoothed over some community complaints because you could run whatever and mostly top dungeon meters, so people didn't feel bad even though the better ways to play were a bit wonky and limited. By the time we were hitting the major 7.1.5 reworks - just before Nighthold - and getting core legendary effects (Raddon, AOTHG) it started to feel a LOT better.
At this point for 8.0 neither of those exist and i think that they should just be baked into the spec at least in a weakened form because it felt terrible to play before getting them and it feels terrible again after removal. Those two notes (each hit of EB reduces the CD of EB by 0.1 - 0.2 seconds, Dbite generating 25-35 fury instead of 20-30 and the dbite fury talent being replaced with another fury gen talent.. Dblades needs that bump too) are alone probably half of what Havoc needs to feel good IMO, next major concern being stat scaling.

You can get Azerite Armor from your weekly PvP reward, weekly Mythic+ reward, or from the Conquest system, but not just at the end of a match or Mythic+ dungeon. As it stands now, Mythic+ quality Azerite gear from your weekly cache will be associated with thresholds where new affixes are added (4, 7, 10). The level of Mythic+ completed in the week will determine which threshold of Azerite Armor you could get.
!!!!!!!!!!! This sounds like you're just getting a random piece at the end of the week which would be legendary RNG 2.0 as most of the azerite gear is pretty bad mathematically or unsuitable for certain builds

I do believe Azerite items are also on loot tables like normal pieces so you its a far cry from legendary 2.0 in terms of acquisition.

Okay i re-read everything, the wording is very confusing and i did autocomplete a phrase wrongly there. It still sounds to me like he's saying that you can't get azerite armor from regular spammable M+:
Mythic Plus dungeons are designed and balanced with the idea that you can't swap gear during a run in Battle for Azeroth. You can get Azerite Armor from an emissary cache, but not from a random world quest. You can get Azerite Armor from your weekly PvP reward, weekly Mythic+ reward, or from the Conquest system, but not just at the end of a match or Mythic+ dungeon.
I can't actually view the source site because of their poor and somewhat malicious GDPR "compliance"
found another quote for it:
Similarly, in epic dungeons, you can’t get Azerite armor from the box at the end of the run, but you can get it from the weekly [reward] box. The way that will work, there’s this clear separation between the tiers of Azerite gear.
I really don't like that, we'd be down to farming the right azerite powers from literally heroic dungeons if the weekly lockout mythic+10 didn't get lucky. I ran Freehold like 8 times before getting the item that i wanted from there on Normal for testing.. bad luck, that's fine enough, but i have to draw a hard line in the sand at attempting that with weekly lockouts, it's bad enough with any lockout at all.
It's not okay for one guy to have that much more damage because they rolled the right item in the weekly chest while somebody else is using the same azerite power from the heroic difficulty version of the dungeon instead of the Mythic +10 version, which is obviously like 5 times harder due to having many times the health and damage as well as four affixes
"There will be break points there. I think we’re currently looking at associating those with where new affixes get added – [levels] four, seven and 10, where you’ll be able to get, if you’re lucky, normal, heroic, and mythic quality Azerite armor from your weekly chest."
This is basically saying if you get bad luck, you'll end up with BIS azerite traits on heroic dungeon level gear (you only have one chance at e.g. the Head with X and Y trait per week from M0). If you get the best luck, you'll have mythic raid ilvl of the same bit of gear.. we're talking like 60 ilvls higher on high budget slots with azerite powers that scale by the ilvl, so it'd be flat out twice as good. I can't see that being remotely close to okay.

Note that Azurite gear can't titanforge so that part of RNG is gone.Yes there is RNG still and I would have preferred them from doing M+ dungeons so you can target farm specific ones but its not as bad as legendaries were at the start of Legion.

Hm, that sounds a little better though i still don't like it. In particular.. You "can" get azerite armor from your weekly chest etc, not you "WILL" get it. You might get some random useless trinket that does no damage, like my balance druid got three bomb squirrels in 10 weeks or so. If you do get an azerite chest for example, well, i hope that was the chest with the good traits and not one of the 7 other ones.
Some of the azerite armor on the beta is just trash - some pieces give maybe 3 or 4 percent overall damage in a dungeon while others give 10-15% more overall damage. You can't just take a 15 ilvl upgrade because it's 15 ilvls higher and gives more agility plus more power on the bad traits. I'm not sure if there are limits so that all utility etc has to be on the same rows, but there are definitely circumstances where one bit of gear has an amazing trait paired with good traits vs a different piece of gear which has trash with trash so it goes beyond balancing the individual traits, you'd have to balance the gear as an overall item and you can't really do that when the traits which are good or bad flip around depending on which talents are OP at the time.
They could balance them a lot better and there are major balancing passes to come for sure, but they could also balance e.g. legion legendaries better. There are legendaries right now on my main spec in Legion which are so bad, you're better off using a purple instead of the legendary because it'll do more damage when the whole purpose of the legendary is to add damage. I don't believe that balance will be close enough for it not to matter, that would take a level of balance never seen before in WoW between different traits, talent builds etc.
I was looking forward to them having not complicated this over their own heads too much so that they could handle it okay and we could pick around the balance issues by grinding out specific pieces of gear etc. That was what i was most looking forward to with azerite gear replacing legendaries, the acquisition system being stable and predictable so that balance between pieces wasn't so make-or-break.
I can't be alone in my thoughts regarding this and similar systems, can't help but feel there will be an uproar about various things shortly after launch when the majority of players hits them instead of just the 0.1%ers actively playing beta

Magni is putting out a call to heroes from every corner of the world to gather once more in Silithus. There, you’ll need to use the power of your Artifact weapon to draw out the darkness from Sargeras’ sword and help stabilize Azeroth’s grievous wounds. There’s a price to be paid, however, and you’ll find that once you’ve lent your aid, your Artifact weapon will become a little unstable. But with this instability comes a temporary boost in power . . . which will, perhaps a bit ominously, continue ramp up over time.
Once the Battle for Azeroth pre-expansion patch (aka pre-patch) arrives closer to launch, Artifact weapon traits will no longer function —but there’s a new power waiting to be gained, if Magni has anything to say about it.
Seems to give instant concordance 75 (artifact 126) which will increase over time towards the prepatch which is i think likely 3 resets out.
Actually blue seems to confirm that:
This just simply upon completion moves everyone to Concordance 75 and then next week another bump, and then another. You get the picture.
TL;DR: Smash everything.

Anyone here kind enough to share a BFA beta key?

Empowered artifacts are fun, i hopped in an 11/11m group clearing hc and we're trashing all of the bosses with em atm. It's made Chaos Blades very powerful for Havoc so we can play with that a bit before these specs are deleted

Welph. Had an 8% wipe on M Argus before the Concordance buff. now he died on the 5th pull. Felt anti climactic.
