It's been confirmed to be a sayain.
I liked the final. I would have preferred goku/vegeta taking out Jiren, but Freeza/Goku was nice too. Fight was good and really looking forward to the movie. Curious if Freeza will be taken care of in that movie or the next one (or a new show if that does get confirmed).
Sad that there won't be any new episodes for a long time (and possibly ever!)

Wow, I'm floored. What an awesome ending. And Android 17's wording was no mistake. We are getting the other 4 universes that were already erased back. Hopefully one of those universes is the one that has the movie Saiyan.
Man, I am just so utterly satisfied. Android 17 is greatest of all time.

That was a great ending. I enjoyed it all.
Interesting tidbit I noticed: Frost was revived. Wasn't sure if he would be. I wonder if we'll ever figure out why he's called Doctor Rota? + Show Spoiler +Manga ain't enough to satisfy me.

He's obviously still evil but I doubt he's going to be the villain again after an arc like this. Plus here and there you do get commentary out of Beerus that very strongly suggests that you need evil bastards like Freezer to keep the universe running.

1. Yeah, I want to know more about Rota too. I am kind of glad DBS isn't going too hard on spells though.
2. Yeah, I think Frieza ends up being a homie that makes an appearance sometimes and is kept in check but still making his empire.
3. I thought it was 4, but maybe it was 6. I'm talking about the universes that used to exist but got erased a while ago. Maybe the new saiyan, who looks like a GoD, is from one of those universes.

Well, they played it safe, but it was fun nonetheless. Wish they would've taken fatigue more seriously from the start to add more suspense. In this final episode I could invest in the notion that Jiren would've had issues with anyone so every move from 17 and Frieza seemed impactful. To be continued in the future. Though I'm personally not that much of a fan of Masako Nozawa voicing the Goku family line, I wonder if she'll remain healthy enough with the passing of time for the next DB super series.

Satisfied with the ending. Frieza was dope. Beerus and Whis though? I didn't know Whis had that ability. The title made it seem like it was going to be like GT when he left to train Uub. Will he go and train Uub now in Super when it returns? Also, do they continue to get lessons from Whis now to master UI?
So many questions! But overall, Zen-Oh was a wild card though.

I'm still coming down off of that. Wowee. My friend rewatched it already, but I can't even imagine doing that right now.

I was floored by the episode to be honest. Beerus silencing Goku when asked what was next. Great. I'll rewatch it tomorrow after I finish processing.

ANDROID 17! THE FUCKING GOAT!
I'm actually thrilled he won, he's become my favorite character this season. Really great finale. I also love how in the post credit scene goku and vegeta adopted the same battle stance they did when they fought in Z.

I'll be honest, the only reason I won't rewatch it at least for a few hours is because I had to restart the episode about 6 times throughout the 20 minutes because it kept crashing. Guess the demand is high -.-

It was enjoyable if not a little rushed having the end of the final battle + aftermath being in the same episode.
|
I got choked up a bit when Frieza and Goku worked together at the end to take out Jiren, and when Champa and the rest of U6 were resurrected. So happy that 17 was officially the VIP, and I laughed when Beerus stopped Goku from speaking ^^;;
I have no doubt in my mind that the Dragonball series will keep going after the movie.

You know it's literally on YouTube, right?

Rewatching key clips, I’d say my favorite part is during that triple beam struggle defense, the dialogue that begins with Freeza asking if Goku still intends to resurrect him, that ends with Freeza regaining his trademark conniving smile and air of confidence. It was very well done.

Other than the farewell's and the actual fight itself with Goku and Frieza working together, I thought the ending was pretty meh. You could've never had this tournament in the first place and not even realize it.
Goku didn't become something greater, no one died, he can't go UI. What meaningful impact did the tournament really do? I wanted something to happen that would've been different and a had lasting, something, anything.
Kinda disappointed...

Great finish, im sure everyone predicted the revival of all the universes so thats no surprise, but the final fight was done great.

Eh I think Freeza is still going to want his revenge on Goku. You may be right, I just think he'll be a villain again just not as fast as in the ROF arc.

Kinda disappointed... because it did happen and I don't get why you would only look at the impact. Even if something didn't result in meaningful way, it is still a event that happened, a multi dimensional tournament that is.

Well, it was a very DB ending, which is good (albeit the resurrection was predictable). Nice to see 17 got his ship at the end.
And yeah it seems fairly obvious that the 6 universes that were destroyed for unknown reasons were brought back as well and become a future plot point. After all, 17 didn't know about those.
I also like how they resolved the Zeno conundrum. He planned from the start to have Universes erased, he did this tournament to determine which, how do they get away with resurrecting everything immediately in his presence? Simple, that's what the boy kings wanted to see in the first place - compassion & selflessness.
Now I'm actually a bit sad the show is done for now.
|
The ending is surprisingly solid. It's much better than the rest of the ToP and beats the ending of the zamasu arc by miles. I like how resolved the Zeno erasing universes story line as well. I didn't see too many predicting it yet it's incredible simple and worked for me.
