I love Rogue and am happy for him, but PvZ is terrible. I think I'd rank it as the worst match up to watch, even below ZvZ. At least in ZvZ a Zerg has a decent chance of losing.

I really think a Zerg killed his dad or something
Like 8 years ago when he was young some guy dressed as a hydralisk came in and destroyed his house.

How did he win this?
I came back when queens and ravagers werre killing stuff in fron of Classic's natural, wtf Classic went mass oracle and suicided them to queens and spores for 3 minutes. Best player in the world by far right? Yeah he is, that's why he's winning the same GSL from which Rogue got eliminated by Scarlett. Is it really hard to understand that his motivation waned after winning $300,000 in 2017 and he needed time to get back into form? Grubby and Madfrog had some very intersting things to say about this topic in the wc3 invitational. About finding motivation and getting back to playing well again after winning a huge tournament. Madfrog said he was satisfied after one big win and being the best in world for a day, while Grubby said he couldn't play well for quite some time after winning a WCG. I think this isn't an uncommon statement from esports. I've heard plenty of players and teams from dota 2 after winning TI who just lost motivation afterwards(winning a million or more for each players helps that ) but there's rarely been a team who still does well afterwards. I guess both games tend to have significant patches afterwards. True but still you'd hear it from the winners in some of their interviews about the question(what does it feel winning etc etc)

It has to be hard watching Rogue winning all those tournaments, destroying protosses left and right. Meanwhile Classic last won what, 3 years ago? He actually won WESG Asia 2 months ago http://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/World_Electronic_Sports_Games_2017/Asia-Pacific qualifier Offline qualifier for 18 thousand dollars seems like a good deal for me, but I guess the nomenclature is the ultimate deal breaker. the group stage was free, and there where like 3 koreans. clearly not a premier tournament

why on aligulac after update MC still counted as the 2nd most earned player, when i`m sure that i saw an article here about sOs finally outnumbered him?

From how I see it in hindsight it might not have been a motivational problem. Rather that expectations were so high and he was underrated after not qualifying for PyeongChang and dropping out of GSL. I would guess he just didn't adjust to the new patch so well up till now with his ZvT taking a slight drop due to the new patch. Mirror matchups (ZvZ) are always tricky so I wouldn't use them to measure his performance. His ZvP was never really tested this year. And thus we might have judged him too early.

2017 Katowice > 2018 Katowice.
It's close but the final day was just too underwhelming.
