As it usually happens with wild cards. Pretty funny when you realize, he would lose to Inno, Stats, ByuN and maybe even major. That Zerg in the semis is highly likely to be soO, and I would heavily favor soO over sOs.

If he gets there, he will beat soO.

Tough draw for King Artur.

I was hoping he'll get Byun, he already beat him in a BO9 the year. I guess Serral and Nerchio would have switched places if they could.

Serral's ZvT has never been that good, but reapers are getting nerfed so rip ByuNs TvZ
Semifinal will be Stats - Inno, and SoO - sOs

I think the reaper nerf comes after GSL vs the World, and Byun doesn't rely only on reapers.

I cant wait to see this tournament. To me, this is a Blizzcon's pilot between Korea and foreigner players. Out of 16 players, 7 guarantee to go to Blizzcon (Stats/ Innovation/ Serral/ Neeb/ TY/ Nerchio/ soO), 4 highly likely go to Blizzcon (hero/ Dark/ Special/ Kelazhur) and Byun (still have chance to qualify Blizzcon).

Serral, yes, his spot in Blizzcon is granted. Nerchio is almost there, but there are scenarios in which he doesn't have enough points for that, yet. A decent performance in Montreal, or a bad one of those who are slightly behind him and he is also in Blizzcon, but no guarantee yet.

Nerchio is guaranteed a blizzcon spot. There's no scenario he doesn't make it

Oh yes there are such scenarios - just most unlikely to happen. He would have to score no points in challenger and in Montreal and Montreal has to be won by someone below Cham in rankings and Cham has to take second spot (while also scoring some 90 challenger points), True has to reach semifinal etc. etc.

Showtime, uThermal many others winning it all won't be a surprise. Snute, True and Kela with this guy in the semis won't be a surprise as well (True was there twice this year, Kela was there this year, Snute as well), and Major winning the mexican challenger while Nerchio getting no more then 90 points out of the EU challenger and not getting to the RO16 of Montreal is not such a crazy scenario. If Nerchio doesn't make it to Montreal of the EU challenger he can be like Showtime in Valencia, not making it even to the RO32.
Obviously, he is likely to be in Blizzcon, but the scenario above is one of those which put him out of it (and there are a few others).
