That's why I said, the list is totally subjective. I just want to share what I personally like hoping that someone else will find it cool too and maybe discover someone new to follow.
I'm inviting you to explain what you like or find noteworthy about them. I'm not calling you wrong for liking them, I just don't get it and want an explanation.

the only stationary, sitting picture i thought was really cool was aboxer at MLG photo. the only way you could like the picture is if you understood its context. he spent the day showered by fan adoration , signing autographcs, and doing interviews. he merely played "ok" during that day of MLG. he stayed up until 3 am, all alone practicing and that is when the photo was taken.
had i not known all this context it would look to me like "a picture of the back of boxer's head".

You're right, the liking of particular picture often depends on the story behind it or the backstory of the people themselves. Often it's also personal bias for particular players (which more often than not is related to their backstories but not always). Another reason is just personal art sense and what one finds beautiful. That + time + not much interest about it from readers, is why I gave up on writing descriptions in the first place.
Cheerful Losira. More often than not we see him looking angry at the computer screen (not counting some outside of tournaments stuff), so this is quite rare and nice scene. He has also changed a lot quite recently and grew up to be a handsome man. Also great Shayla Photo Quality (tm)
Friendly Maru in Shayla Quality (tm). I like seeing him be friendly and happy with people especially because of how cold he used to seem to me. Also it's generally interesting, seeing the friendships between pros.
All photos from Light Me Up are really clear and nice for the eyes. The depth and lightening is so good. Should probably also mention my Zest bias, especially for his smile (c'mon, he's handsome).
This one actually has more backstory. I've been following Forte (earlier Salvation) for a while now. I think he can become really good if he learns to control his stress. Also it's so great to see someone being so happy about every win, he's one of the more emotional guys like Creator. So even though he beat another of my favourite players (herO), I was really happy to see him achieve something. Moreover, I've been really liking MVP as a team recently and the Pinocchio show convinced me that they're a really friendly team with good relations between the players (and the coach). So this is a really nice scene of the young player's triumph and his coach being happy with him.
This is kind of a funny picture, the way Super looks at his teammates. My first thought was a saying from my language "whole life surrounded by weirdos" (which doesn't have to be negative).
More high quality pictures. There is something I like about the progamer pics, ready to start the next battle, putting his headphones on and so on. Also herO bias.
Maybe I'm wrong but I feel like kenzi's photos are unusually good quality this week. The depth and light look pretty great. I know that he bought some new lenses, maybe that has something to do with it but no idea honestly.
Very expressive photo with a good pose and great quality. Maybe the angle isn't the best but I think it captures the moment well enough. Once again, the depth is so good.
Fun stuff from HSC. I enjoy the perspective of 2nd and 3rd pic. 4th has nice round composition with people gathering around the screen. 5th is funny because it looks like ToD just won while iNcontroL lost everything (I know it's probably not that). 7th is Snute's smile. 8th is progamer pic again, nice even though a bit dark. 10th is somehow nice composed with the colors and stuff.
