I over rationalized you, it's like that omgus.net game where the scum were literally obvious so I did a too scummy to be scum At a certain point I had to go for that. Also, I practically got the scott lynch because of you. It was a mixture of scott's weird coach thing and you pushing him hard before you died. I know. If you had left me alive I would have worked even more magic for you. It was awfully convenient though; I don't and didn't have to worry about a thing for the rest of the week. What can I say? I can't help but feel indebted and grateful to you. I will be a member of House Chupazi for the rest of my days. You actually have more chance of entering the house of chezinu. The house of chupazi is basically midway island Then I will strive to reach such an island. We are birds anyway, are we not? Everyone on mafia is. They are albatross.
I am the vulture.
... Or the raven, when I am on my game. But usually the vulture shooting my vomit everywhere and pissing people off

I might be biased but Mage's push early game was spot on. It was logical from his perspective, a player in his second forum game of mafia who doesn't know Copcake, who has never played voice mafia (at least with TLers, and RL mafia is slightly different), him highlighting the things that didn't make sense in her posts.
And her lack of response to him should NEVER cause him to EVER townread her. So that was realllyyyyyy odd.
It's because she showed some of her town traits. Iagree with the second part but noobking, MD and GB were just too much scummier. Noobking was the worst in this game, contradicting himself in everything. Otherwise i would not even bring this up but when he goes on to trash on TLMafia fuck you dude, go away plz. Also 60% why i read MD mafia, his read on NK was so retarded. I just don't understand then why I was scumread for it then. Unless I was getting scumread related to MD/GB. I'm not trying to be a dick here but I honestly do want to improve upon my play but there's no way I could have seen those traits without experiencing voice mafia. lemme check this up tmrw and say something about it.

Bueno, so...couple of things.
Regarding the modkill decision with the coaching conversations...this being a newbie game, and a modkill (on any alignment) resulting in endgame, I chose to warn and also make it clear to certain parties that talking around the coaching issue was also a violation. It stopped after that, and ultimately I think that is the better way to handle a game in which everyone is learning. (If you get me in a veteran game with players flying in the face of things they've already been warned for, don't expect as much leniency, even if it results in you losing the game for your alignment.)
Noobking, if you read this...your biggest problem was not knowing where the line was. Past a certain point people simply don't care if you're town or not (a good number of your posts were actually quite reasonable and well-thought out) because you've insulted them enough that they don't want to play with you. At that point the chances of getting mislynched are infinitely higher. I'm not the nicest player in my games, but knowing when to scale it back is important.
Nocturne...all around just excellent play from you. I was impressed. I imagine Dani helped a lot, but you've clearly got a good head on your shoulders and my biggest piece of advice for you would just be to take your success from this game and be more confident pushing your reads in the future. There is no reason you can't be a town leader with analysis like that. (Breshke, you also fall into this category, but I'm trying to focus on the new players <3 still deserve a shoutout.)
CopCake, honestly I think you just let your emotions get the better of you in this game. I've seen your scum game when you're in your comfort zone and it's pretty solid. I think you're aware that you didn't bring that to this one. I would say that being a bit more sensitive to the fact that you're playing with brand new scum instead of raging at him would have gone a long way toward making the atmosphere for the scum team better.
Moosy...it's hard to say that you did wrong when you brought the game home, but honestly the push on Cake was bad in its unnaturalness (several of the more experienced players picked up on it) and also because it completely tanked her motivation. It's okay to ask for advice, and it's even okay to ignore that advice, but you did play scum a bit like you forgot you were on a team. Coordination is key. (geript hit this well) In the future, also work on pushing town players. You did a great job keeping active and faking emotion; you fell into the newbie scum trap of hard-bussing because you had trouble seeing town as scum. Now that people have seen your scum game this will kick you in the teeth if you don't correct it.
As a sidenote, HTS is right about the Slam NK (fidei, this is for you). It doesn't make much sense for anyone to NK slam, however it makes much less sense for either Slam or scott to NK one another and then try to convince one of the most townread to lynch one of the other most townread over them. Simply put, they are very unlikely to do that as it makes it almost impossible for them to win. The WIFOM isn't worth the struggle.
That NK meant someone in a stronger position: you or Moosy. The way Moosy started D6 with his constantly changing story and endless missteps also might have been a clue. But he played well and you shouldn't feel bad for missing this.
Another thing to note...there were times where Moosy did something I've seen recently from scum!ruxxar as well...namely scumreading someone by lecturing them on how a good townie should play. It's an odd mindset for town to have. Town usually says "I think x is scum for y, and if they're town they're awful for doing this." It was reversed for the newbie scum. "Good town should do x and since you didn't I think you're scum." <- see the difference in the mindset?

Holy drama in the Scum QT

And thanks for hosting.
I need help in LYLO - was I too quick on Moosy after I knew he was mafia? I think being too convinced is my downfall here and in Guardians, because the Puppet doesn't know why the mafia and the innocent child are so convinced.
|
It was horrible and I hope I never ever get to play with someone like that in my life.
I hope you improve Moosy.

Like seriously, I LOVE to be scum, I die for my team, etc but this was just bullshit.
GB survived another day because I told him to claim doctor -__-
and figured out bershke was the doctor that's why he got role blocked.
But then even of several times telling MD to stop he continued to push and push and push and push and push and push and push

well, honestly...i think you did fairly well? in general your game this game was better than i've seen it recently. you were active, engaged, had good insights several times
sometimes lylo is all about being tenacious. just pointing out your perspective and thought processes as much as possible, and don't be afraid to push hard on the one you think is scum. sure, you're talking to james to get him to lynch scum and trying to convince him, but putting pressure on moosy can cause him to crack and get james to come to your side just by witnessing

As town he lynch into actives more plus a little happier I think in tone.) I didn't catch Copcake until the red check she played good enough to fool me.

I think if team mates bus you you shouldn't get so upset it just ends badly for you. Fight back but don't take it personal imo
