It happens GB was dead in the water the right play was to bus. The bus on you cc wasn't amazing but its what it was he still carried the game. If you bus you have to carry. You might not like him and it might not of been as fun but you won. And maybe his attitude wasn't the best but nobodys was at that point in qt | ||

Nobody is mad that I was bussed but what cake is saying is that Moosy unecessarily bussed cake since day one. It worked, but wasn't the correct play. I think a lot of veterans could be able to see through it. Another thing that was pointed out was that he posted a lot of our plans on the thread. It's no problem since he is newbie, but it needs to be pointed out. It's no surprise his play in the game was considerably improved when geript focused the coaching on him. Props to geript for it. Thank you for the coaching. Also, scott, I think you did a good job. I was hoping you couldn't catch Moosy but I really trusted you would be able to do it. Props to noxturne mage for checking the right person especially when thread sentiment was to townread her. Yamato, stop calling me stupid. Bitch. Rayn, it's always a pleasure to play with you. Kudos to rayn for the ballsy counterclaim move. I liked that a lot. Also, it's a good thing that I got killed (np np, NocturneMage). I couldn't have kept up with MD's spammy style and I really want to express how much I dislike that. My vote would've been defaulted to MD simply to get rid of the most spammy player in the game. It's disgusting how pure activity can save a mafia game for scum. MD created so much fuzz that, once the experienced players were out, it was rather easy to get lost in the shitload of spam he was creating. Disgusting. I mean yeah, effective as fuck but it feels like a kick in the nuts when you're fencing. Just .. not fair . Don't feel attacked please, it's not meant to be ad hom or anything . HtS did a ridiculously great job at coaching. I think I didn't do too bad of a job if I'm measured by my low activity. I think I prioritized badly though, concentrating too much on Fidei/Superbia who were both town. I noticed by now that I townread Copcake for literally no reason, didn't even check the filter once. I guess that's the tribute you pay when you're not able to be really active. I think though that my townread on Superbia was actually decent, also I was able to read Fidei correctly as town. While the choice of those persons was rather unlucky, the reads were correct so I guess that's something I have going for me. However, thank you all for the game, it was really, really fun and I can't wait for the next mini. I'll assist Blazinghand as a co-host soon so go ahead and sign up. | ||

My voting history: ##Vote: CopCake ##Unvote ##Vote: GlowingBear EASY GAME. :D I selected rayn for the non-vote, because I was virtually certain that if he was Town, he would be the easiest player in the game (probably the easiest player on the SITE) for me to manipulate. And I couldn't have asked for the strategy to work any better for me than it did. As it enabled me to completely eliminate rayn as a suspect (hence where I say that rayn was "doing all of the Scum team's work for them", which can only be true if he's Town) so that I can promptly stop reading anything he says. And when he predictably tries to put together a push on me, I pegged CopCake jumping on board in precisely the spot where I expected to catch Scum doing it (and told everyone so). There was a post I made where I refused to answer GB's questions, because it would interfere with how I was "helping two players do something." The two players I was helping were the two that were voting against me: yamato and rayn. And by refusing to explain my interactions with rayn, I was helping yamato and rayn get a Scum player to claim the safe landing spot on me, which is exactly what CopCake did, and she was snared. I had said that all would be explained on Night 1, so if people just follow through with the GB lynch after his preposterous Doctor claim, then I think there's a good chance I convince Mage to check CopCake on Night 1, and we lynch Red on the first 2 Days of the game. And really, ALL that is necessary for this all to come off without a hitch is for rayn to STFU. That's it. yamato and I steamroll this game if rayn just stays out of the way. It would probably have taken a few more days to catch Moosy (since unlike CopCake, he actually knows something about how to look Town) but after hitting Red on the first 2 Days, we have an eternity of mislynches to figure out the bus. Anyway, goodbye TL. Unlike Fidei, I will not be ending my Mafia-playing career. I will continue to play as often as I can, just not at THIS fuckin' place. Back to the sites where players can see beyond what is 6 inches in front of their face. Back to the sites where people actually think before they post. Back to the sites where ZERO replacements are needed in the signups, because people actually show up to play, and care whether they win or lose. Two different people have tried to tell me that I'm only frustrated with the low level of play here because I've played in the Newbie games. And that since I have more experience than the coaches I've received, the "big games" would be more my speed. NOPE. I've read a few of the big games too, and the level of play in them can be summarized as "I'm 100 pages behind. lol, what do?" In my last 15 games on sites other than this one (you know, sites where people THINK...and TRY...) I am a combined 12-2-1, and haven't had any losses in my last 7 games. I could try to go through the steps of canceling or deactivating my account. But given the attitudes of the players here, I think it would be more appropriate if I just decided that I "can't be bothered" to do anything. So long, everyone! And nice work, Moosy! | ||

As for the DT checks, I believe Mage told me night 1 he was so convinced Copcake was mafia that he felt he didn't have to check her to actually push her. After two more cycles, he felt he lacked the thread pull to get her lynched on his own so that is part of the reason why he checked her. Also the quote n00bking that you mentioned about her voting position didn't fall on deaf ears. He actually flagged that as part of his push on her, but again, no one listened. I know Cake discredited that right away, but you can't really dispute the VCAs or what Fidei said about her lack of town cred from getting GB lynched. To rayn/yamato's credit they felt more strongly about the two others - MD/GB. But I don't think town worked too effectively together collectively betweeen the GB lynch and the Cake lynch. It showed. I think it was said in the obs QT that town were disorganised, and the boxerfred mislynch showed it. Some looking at one scum, the others at Copcake, the others in some other direction. At least 3 solo voters. Beyond awful. Also there seemed to have been some meta read based on voice mafia in Cake's defence - personally I've played with her only a few times, but I also know having played with other voice/video players (Nydus/Milo/etc) they do have a different way of looking at things than normal forum players. IDK. Still Mage and Scott both held her accountable for at least tone reads, and when she failed to do even that she ultimately dug her own grave. | ||

I hope you learnt a bit, or at least with the issues I outlined on the game, why you choose what to prioritise the way you did. There is a current game in progress which I can't talk about that I am sort of having the same issues, just a few windows of time to do some work before I have to work or attend to RL. When activity comes in fits and spurts it's what I've had to resort to. It's hard to do that with only 30 minutes at a time, but an hour, you could also have another tab open to catch anything that jumps out at you in conversation. It's funny that you mentioned voting for MD because of his spam. I remember in my very first TL game I voted for another townie that I felt was shitting up the thread and I still remember Damdred interrogating me to this day about why I voted for the person I did. I narrowly averted getting mislynched (the votes that would have hammered me narrowly missed deadline) but I was discouraged at that time from thinking that spammers were usually mafia. In more recent games there are 1-2 players that have used the shit up the thread strategy but overall it generally isn't too prevalent. But I think it's important to see where people post just to post with no direction and that's usually bad regardless of overall filter size. | ||

moosy did a great job sticking it out for 6 days and winning, i think they did a good job of getting rid of strong town with the NK's aswell leaving a final 3 with a good chance of victory. | ||
