Hurricane Kills are essentially a means to prevent mass claiming; anywho who claims (especially regarding cop/tracker claims) can be automatically killed at no risk to the mafia team. Using Hurricane Kills costs Mafia their NK, but it's a way to ensure that kills go through on a Cop/Tracker while even allowing multiple kills in a night if there is a rolecop (or multiple people claim. Additionally, they are a means for mafia (should they fall behind) to try and catch back up at great risk. In short it is a mechanic intended to punish town for trying to solve the game using mechanics in lieu of old fashioned leg work. I pretty extensively covered both Hurricane Kills and Storm Vote with the examples I listed to make it perfectly clear how they work. Plus Damdred did a nice summary of it. | ||

No. There isn't a way to "gain" KP with the Hurricane Kills without taking a huge risk. Remember, Hurricane Kills take place instead of Mafia KP; so mafia cannot both Hurricane Kill someone and NK someone. Theoreically, it can be used to NK 2 people for sure on N3 if the rolecop checks blue players on N1 and N2. But because (unlikely Soup Kills which are allowed on top of mafia NK) Hurricane Kills AND Mafia NK are mutually exclusive (you can use either one but not both in a night) then rolecop doesn't realistically add effective KP. I'm guessing you missed the text where mafia can't Hurricane Kill with "Vanilla Town." For mafia to kill vanilla town, then they must kill them using their Tropical Storm Name; only Miller, Wanderer and 'blue' roles can be killed by using the role in Hurricane Kills. | ||
