If it has to target something, then it won't be nearly as versatile/ as good an escape as Sylv's.

We're pleased to inform you that anyone that's toppled 100 Play mode opponents in Hearthstone can now claim the Cardback Mount reward mentioned below. In order to do this, simply log in to Hearthstone to complete the Easy Rider Quest, and then fire up Heroes of the Storm to receive your new Mount! Please also note that the Cardback Mount may take up to 24 hours to appear in your Heroes Mount collection. http://us.battle.net/heroes/en/blog/19529839/hearthstone-and-heroes-of-the-storm-rewards-6-18-2015

Granted, we could just ask for the amount of gold received after games to be increased (and that would be really convenient as well), but I do also like the prospect of daily quests, as that allows for non-trivial amounts of gold to be obtained through actual achievements. But why just one per day? As we can see from DB's Twitter post ( ), any ally who kills the new treasure goblin helps complete the quest for the whole team (if it's available)... and it opens up new ideas and conversations regarding more daily quests. Why not have *at least* 2 rotating daily quests, besides this treasure goblin idea? One set can be the ones we already have, based on hero selection (choose this type of hero or from this game; play/ win X times) and then another set can be based on in-game strategy or map-specific objectives (kill X merc/ boss camps*; personally deposit a total of 20 dubloons*, capture X tributes*, etc.). *It would make more sense for the new set of DQs to be allowed to gradually complete over the course of multiple games, as opposed to requiring a single player/ team to capture 3 bosses in one game, or just farm dubloons for a whole game. Structuring a gradual completion DQ will prevent heroes from ignoring the rest of the game merely to complete a DQ, and obviously we want to make sure that the game itself isn't compromised due to DQs. Allowing this additional set of *passively completed DQs* would provide a much-needed inject of currency into the game, and would reinforce playing more games/ earning more rewards, as opposed to just doubling or tripling the current rewards. Thoughts?

I still don't have problems with him though, can't wait June 30. he will probably be instant buy. Imo the d1 Butcher and Heroes one are rather similar in design. The latter just more fleshed out and more dressed for the task at hand. Don't forget in D1 we got him while he was in his lil workshop preparing meat. Now he is out to hunt it. Also the wound on the Heroes Butcher makes alot of sense considering his death animation in D1. But in D3 they also say that the act 1 boss is just a abonimation stitched together out of demon parts. So Butcher is basically a demonic abomination, while Stitches is a human one, atleast after the D3 lore. If you take the Tabletop (basically D1 with D2 classes) into consideration, the Butcher is also mentioned as being a masochist because of seemingly self inflicted wounds. And the desire for meat is something which usually is the main motivation for the zombie type undead beings. So I belief they already designed the Butcher in D1 as an abomination. They just thought back then that it would be stupid to give the hero a pokedex, that will tell you the history of a monster when you deafeat it. Atleast if you want to keep the atmosphere dark and scary. So all we can do is theorize I found it funny that in D3 the Act 1 Boss comes with Fire, while in D1 most Butchers probably died by standing in a firewall before a locked door. Impressive how much thought sometimes is put into things, but I guess Blizzard has alot of training in these kind of inside jokes. I dislike the idea of dailies that have ingame activity, some people will aim for that and not winning. Happens in Hearhtstone and those games are not to much fun. In Heroes it would probably even have a noticable impact. The Goblin is an okay option for adding more gold. But I usually use the down time to consider my talents or run in a circle. So I dislike a forced Minigame.

So I dislike a forced Minigame. I think that's why allowing these DQs to passively compile and stack over multiple games will alleviate that strain. If you need to capture 10 merc camps but you're playing 3-4 games (instead of just 1), then there's no rush. You'll naturally get there, and you won't need to sacrifice the actual game.

We already have people mucking up HL drafts trying to complete dailies... don't need more motivation for bad behavior. I forgot which game it was, but Blizzard said they had limited achievements in it because they didn't want to encourage people to do things counter-productive towards winning the game (I think it was SC2 multiplayer), which I definitely agree with.

Those are good points. I wonder if additional daily quests could be created so that they won't directly affect gameplay (like the treasure goblin before the game starts), because even selecting a particular hero from a game or type (which are the current daily quests) can still affect the game's outcome negatively.

I guess something silly like Dance in vision range of an enemy hero is not something people want as a daily quest. (Even if it is the most effective bait ingame, dance with Muradin get a kill, repeat) And skill related stuff, will just be play this class or this hero ! For example block a shot aimed at another player. Maybe another approach ? For example: in your next win your rewards will be modified by the (number of forts on your side left) ... err nvm I just realized what people will do if one fort on your side is down.

As for daily quests, I think they're a nice touch. Hard to think of any good rewards that would work in-game, except maybe "Do X hero damage" or "Soak Y xp" and maybe (at a significantly lower frequency) "heal X" or ""Do Y seige damage." How about negative quests? "LoL Pro": get high stats, but fail to meaningfully contribute to taking objectives: -100 gold.

Blood for Blood got changed to 10% damage and 20% heal. A lot of other changes, too. http://pastebin.com/MqywkdhS Not all talent changes are included (Jaina loses Sprint for example).
