Using imported Brood War textures I wanted to capture the gritty feeling of Brood War's maps as well as it's layouts without leaving StarCraft 2's gameplay behind. This map is meant for Legacy of the Void more than Heart of the Swarm, but I guess could be played in HotS as well.

The map size is 188x188 with 6 bases per spawn (total of 24 bases). The bases are relatively close in proximity, but have pathways that will make them technically farther. For example, one third is better for a Terran to float to (but is open to other angles), whereas the other is easier to wall off, but more vulnerable to drop play, or be cut off from the natural and main.

Reaper distances between mains are 44-45 seconds.
Ground scout is 1min-1:30
Ovie Scouts are always about 5 minutes rounded up.
Obviously meant to be a macro map with interesting chokes and open spaces. Hopefully the cliffs in the middle add for some cool counterplayability (blink and proxies, the like) I feel like I made a good balance of open and choke spaces. Overall I'm pretty happy with it.
