I'm currently taking a Linguistics course at UCSD to meet a GE requirement. Part of the course is a research paper in which you interview ten adults about various subjects relating to English as a language in the United States, and write about the answers of both your interviewees and the data the rest of the class collected.
I thought rather than interviewing friends and family and writing the same essay every other person in the class is going to write, I'd try something a little different. I'd like to interview TLers about the same subjects, and then compare that data to the data from the rest of the class to draw conclusions about the tendencies of TLers in particular. Team Liquid is an unusual cross-section of the general population, with a number of interesting trends, and I'm interested in what demographic trends can be seen here.
So here's my request: if anybody from TL would like to participate, PM me. The survey provided by the class is just 19 questions and should take just a few minutes (I may add a few questions specially for TL, but it should still be very quick). The responses will be kept totally anonymous. And at the end of this, I'll post my results here for any TLers as interested as me in the subject!
It's less fun than being interviewed by Hotbid, but you can pretend!
I have to include a few restrictions by the nature of the assignment: participants need to be over 18, and need to be from the US. That is to say, I don't mind interviewing you if you're under 18 or if you're not from the US, but I can't use the information for the paper, so you might not be interested. Otherwise, why not take a few minutes off from writing in the Designated Balance Discussion Thread and fill out a survey about language as a TL member?

I'll do it.
I know I broke your "PM me" rule, but I figure this way people can see how many others have already participated.

Haha thanks guys! And yeah, commenting works just as well

Sent! Good luck.
Also, sorry, I'm bad at interviews.

Haha no worries. Thanks again for your help, and if you care, keep an eye on the blogs section in a few weeks when I get access to the rest of the class's data and can make comparisons.
Still looking for more participants, if anyone's interested!

Don't you dare suggest I do actual work, that's what I'm trying to avoid.
