I really like this build and the composition of the push but 14cc on certain maps just seems like suicide and I can't get my hellions out in time to defend an overwhelming ling flood. However pretty much every other build is either 14cc or 12/12 into 3cc. I tried modifying the above build to 12rax/15gas/CC and it seems to work out alright but not sure if there is a more effecient 2base build I should be outlining. I was mainly having issues with gas and mineral timings just trying to create my own out of thin air.
You can basically use the 'standard' reaper -> 3cc, except instead of getting the 3rd cc you throw down 2x barracks and another refinery (the step that happens at 24 supply on the imbabuilds BO?). From here you can follow the orignial build just fine.

So it would go 12/12 then reactor rax, cc, fact, 2x marines, rax/fact swap, 2x rax, 1x gas, port? Yeah I think that may work. Not sure why that variation didn't occur to me last night while running builds.

Um no, I was thinking
12rax 12gas reaper cc reaper depot factory reactor (swap factory onto this then tech lab on the rax) 2x Rax (reactors on these as soon as they finish) depot gas(?) this might be a little early, would need to test, you'll have more gas from the 12 gas opening
Then after your first 2 hellions (or 100g or whatever) start the starport, this would time out so that your starport would finish when your 6th hellion finishes, swap it onto the reactor. Should hit with 2-4 less marines and 2 reapers.

haha this build has worked so well for me in diamond for like the last year whenever i feel like not playing straight 3 cc. except i do it off one gas and without the starport, pushing as soon as those reactors finish and rally across the map. combat shields instead of stim. make sure you block the scout and DONT GET SUPPLY BLOCKED. you gotta start building 2 depots at a time at a certain point.
i got a question. I rly like the idea of 11 11 as it seems to be quite strong. But how should i react if:
1) proxy get's scouted on proxy location by a drone?
2) proxy get's scouted on proxy location by an overlord?
3) Z scouts my base with a drone and sees no rax?
4) If i scout that the Z took no natural?
1- if he attacks your scv u can cancel and go cc first (if it's early enough). Otherwise you can try to micro your scv to finish the racks, or defend your first scv with the second scv and go 1 rax expand with the rax proxied.) 2- Depends how early, you can still do the rush if you're well versed in it, or you can pull more scvs if you predict he will pull all his drones. Depends on reaction basically. 3- It should still be kinda late for him, you should go ahead with your rush and maybe make an adjustment like pulling less scvs. 4- Block him with some bunkers and tech to factory and then expand while trying to scout him (run something up the ramp or float a barracks in.
I'm wondering if any high tier player (preferably high master/GM) got a solid gas first build, marine/reaper into mech. Preferably the forGG BO with mass hellions or innovations style.
Im playing a tournament this weekend. There is a protoss player I cant beat with standard play (his mechanics are too good). What cheese build do you recommend for me to look into? gas first mine drop? Anyone ever tried the forGG style where you get an armory with it?
In base proxy with 1 rax with a bunker rush is a very good build to cheese with if you know he isnt going to proxy or 10 gate or something. Its a little map dependent as you need a pocket amount of space in order to hide the barracks.

I think these are going to be your best bets. Unfortunately neither one will really immediately win you the game, and both require pretty decent micro to execute.
edit: Also, do you have a link to the gas first mine drop with an armory? Build doesn't really make sense to me.
What's the optimal response to hold the HyuN 1-1 roach timing in TvZ?
Have lost twice to this now while knowing it was coming, I made 3 bunkers and started marauder production in response.
I feel like I am under preparing and being a bit too greedy by using the Factory as an addon bitch. I am opening with 12/12 1 Reaper FE into Reactor Hellion into 3 CC, so basically very standard. Do I need to maybe think about going Banshee as a response this meta at the minute, or can you hold by pumping marauder/mine. I would prefer not to make tanks if possible as I feel it really slows the mid-game tempo down.

The jury is out on what the best response is because of how easy it is for Zerg players to make a round of drones if he sees you over committing.
In my opinion I think what's going to have to happen in the future matchup is Terran players being more proactive about seeing the Roach Warren as early as possible and cutting the Hellion production ASAP and making other units (whether it's mines, using the reactor for marines, whatever).
Or we build a reactor early, build 2 marines after reaper every game and try to hide our starports or our third command centers and make Zerg more wary about pulling this bullshit.
You should be making tanks. You really don't need a "mid-game tempo" against Roach-Hydra since you want to be defending as the follow up 2-2 Roach/Hydra push is also pretty strong. I think if you are defending on those three orbitals while macro'ing up you are going to be in a great spot.
i think the tanks are mandatory vs the hydra follow up, but i have been finding this taeja build from a really old day9 pretty good vs this roach stuff. it gets a banshee without cloak in order to get the 3rd cc up a bit faster. the build is here
also been noticeing alot of pro terrans playing the full on 2 cloak banshees before 3rd style lately.
the hard part for me has been getting some return damage done before they hit hive and get vipers. all the defending allows zerg to just creep the whole map

Thanks man I appreciate it! Gonna try one of these after I fail horrible in standard play in game 1 haha :D.

Wow, that looked a longer stronger than I expected. Might have to try that out a few times. Not a widow mine drop but marine / hellion / medivac into Hellbat timing, pretty scary.

ok thx, what do i do if there is an overlord spotting the SCVs which want to build the bunkers?

it's easy to pull off, just be patient with your push since every tank coming in makes it that much stronger and basically push in without sacrificing units if possible. Also don't forget shields->stim research. I would recommend it on some map where you can immediately start attacking his natural with siege tanks like Overgrowth or King Sejong.
There's also that lillekanin build where you go 12 rax, 13 gas, 16 rax (after making Orbital) and a proxy factory. Reactor of first barracks, tech lab on second. Float the factory into his main and start making mines. Pressure the front with marines and marauders (research concussive shell first, then stim) and 2-3 bunkers. Ideally try to walk into main and bait out overcharge. If he overcharge's the natural, just back off and build up units and go back in when it time out. Your factory can take some damage to squeeze out an extra mine, but don't let it die if discovered, just float it down and make mines for the push.
