Today, we are proud to announce the newest addition to our StarCraft 2 roster, Protoss player, Josiah “Virium” Boyer. Formally of ROOT’s academy team SEED, Josiah is consistently within the top 16 players on the North American ladder, and has shown impressive games in both tournaments and clan matches. Having now having joined a team comprised of North American rising talent, Josiah hopes to make the most out of this upcoming year in the tournament world.
Statement from Josiah “Virium” Boyer
I'm really excited to be joining Solaris Gaming, as I have been looking for a solid team with good support for the players. I already have some friends in the team, so I can't imagine how it could be anything but a good fit for me, and I especially look forward to improving my worst match up (PvZ) with two of the top players in NA (JonSnow and Guitarcheese). College is starting soon, so I am happy that I will be able to be starting so many fresh and new things, and hope that it will be what I need as both a player, and a student.
Statement from Jason “InsidiA” Pun
I'm very delighted to be welcoming Josiah to the team. He's a player that everyone in the North American scene fears and we're really glad to have him on board. It's especially nice to bolster our Protoss lineup with Daniel (Lucky)’s inactivity. For those of you who don't know of Virium be sure to keep up with him, you'll see big things from this young Protoss player!
Also it is unfortunate to officially announce that our other resident Protoss player, Daniel “Lucky” Elmblad has been officially moved to an inactive role on Solaris. Due to his active duty in the United States Air Force, he is currently unable to commit time to playing Starcraft II, and has been thus taken off the player roster. We will continue to support Daniel, and eagerly await his return to competitive Starcraft.
