I agree with the CLG move. I am a huge TSM fan, so for me to admit that, means it's good.
Korea is really, and has always been, the place to go for competitive RTS development in a few certain games which we know and love. In said games, the top 50 players in the world are Korean. When Challenger players who go over to Korea, and I'm not going to name any names here, get beat by Koreans in Unranked (pre-30) which HotshotGG calls "noobs" (because they're not 30 [and this seems to be enforced by the community in Plat-Diamond... I was literally told by someone to "get to 30" before they would play with me]) it's really a travesty, but it's a learning experience
Don't play too greedy
Don't play too safe
Don't overextend
Scout more
these things hold true to any RTS, so I expect CLG not only to drastically improve from things most wouldn't think of like ward positioning, but also from individual mechanics from being able to scrim against the top teams for hours straight.
Koreans actually enjoy spamming games against new opponents.

I think they'll rather rely on Monte's contacts to get worthy scrims. Don't really think any of the top teams would fanboy over Doublelift anymore, that was a loong time ago, back when Korea was known for shit ADs because their best team had Woong as their AD.

People associated with the old management say they were in it for the esports and ask for compensation for their work. Chinese company representative refuses, saying they had already paid and paint the picture of the old manager swindling the rest of the old staff and paint a seemingly ridiculous picture of a mafia-esque intimidation before they acquired the team. Old coach feels the vibe has changed and loses desire to coach int he new environment and leaves.
The players get screwed.

I'm curious, a lot of people have said that part of the reason Chinese LoL is so "weak" is that the pro players get very little respect and have to deal with this kinda stuff on a regular basis. Does anyone know the truth behind that? Is this kind of money corruption par for the course in China LoL?

Chinese esports is pretty shit if you're not in one of the comfy well established orgs like WE, LGD or iG. There's lots of off stuff, progamers don't make much money and often it comes from running shops on the side (that ACE restricts afaik), quite a few pros reportedly elo boost loads as well and tencent doesn't care about it (when even garena does more to stamp out pro eloboosting you know tencent doesn't have fucks to give). Royal Club however was particularly awful, aside from this they also apparently haven't even paid whit3zz his worlds money and I remember them straight up buying an LPL slot (LomoQ got in by basically buying the slot from livemore, the previous 6th place team of the first split of LPL) Even by Chinese standards though this lomoQ stuff is pretty absurd.

I wonder if clg will get to scrim against top teams. A big problem for smaller teams like prime were that the big team wouldn't scrim them. From what I hear Apdo's team anarchy was asked to scrim clg, is that because of the lack of teams willing to play them or if they just want to play anyone and eveyone
|
If Apdo's team stomps them in scrims, they are probably fine with not playing SKT/Samsung xD
Maybe Seraph can organize some Najin White scrims.

NJBS win against Blaze in NLB right now secured KT Rolster Bullets place at Korean Regionals, if they suddenly don't get fined in points for changing roster, rofl.
Both CJ Entus rosters don't get spots at Regionals, both KT Rolster rosters will play against each other in first round of Regionals if Arrows don't win Champions Summer.

NiP vs SK Prime/Reason Gaming H2K vs Gamers2/Unicorns of Love

Apparently they played with AoD tonight, so, RIP Failer. Have to consider nickname change already probably.
On the other hand, now H2K is rising in our ranks again and going to play Gambit and we will still have SK-G2/SKP which is glorious no matter who they face.

Rofl. Could switch Heartbeat to support with same results. Curse are literally matchfixing to not get teamkill in relegations?

There was a team in our junior gridiron league using 21 year olds to play, the age limit was 18...
