Fitness Review
This was today's objective:
The days exercise was a glorious break from yesterdays grind. So much so there isn't really anything to report. I just got to it and completed each routine one after the other, even the leg raises didn't cause any trouble as I only had to do six reps each time.
Tomorrows exercise includes the last run of this program, I hope ill be able to run my best time yet. Wish me luck!
The Days Diet
I am currently not on a diet but will be starting on one soon. This area will go over the days food intake and will include recipes so everyone can start eating better at home!
Starcraft 2 and Stream Review
These were today's objectives:
1. Improve the 3 queen roach style in ZvZ.
2. Improve scouting in ZvP, in terms of overlord spread and lings to find pylons.
3. Add static defense is ZvP late game to prevent harass.
4. Improve hellion/ banshee defense.
Although I didn't stream due to dreamhack being on, I made the effort to get in ten games so I would be able to practice every match-up. I hoped I would get some good results and push further up the ladder. That didn't happen.
I ended up going 4-6 and although I would usually be happy to learn from losses almost all of them were totally stupid.
I played four ZvTs and lost all but one. The win was against a standard terran and I crushed him with my macro. The other three games my opponents used the recently popularized hellbat push and crushed me.
Each game I scouted it, and built roaches but to no avail. The terrans simply amoved up my ramp, killed all my queens, spines and roaches like nothing. The build seems almost unstoppable unless you go into the game being ready to defend it. Ill have to look more into it as I really like my current style and going two base roach doesn't seem like a great idea.
The best games were probably the ZvPs but weren't without there faults. I won the first game easily. The second one my opponent went for a stargate/gateway all in. I scouted it and got ready, my opponent hit seconds to early and caught my army in two pieces and crushed me. In the future this should be a easy hold. Looking at the replay however there is still one thing holding me back, my benchmarks... I don't know where I am going wrong. Tomorrow I will have to spend time sorting it out once and for all.
The ZvZs were the most annoying the two wins were solid but the two losses were 100% throws one vs a master. In the game vs the master I hit my timing and was slowly beating his roaches, but my rallying left my roaches everywhere accross the map allowing him to stabalise and win. I need to make sure that when I make units they go straight into hotkeys. The other loss was vs a player who went mutas into roach/bane and I took some really bad engagements. I need to stop moving out so early and make sure I don't attack up ramps where banelings can destroy me.
I had hoped I would have been able to push up the ladder to rank 1 today. But unfortunately | have gotten to the point where I am playing top 8 diamonds every game, for a win I get 10 points and for loss I lose 14-15. Its really annoying but hopefully tomorrow I will sort out my game play errors, learn how to defend that stupidly overpowered all in and finally hit rank 1!
