Hello everyone back for day 13!!!
"Don't wish for it. Work for it."
This was today's objective:
Despite not going to sleep until about 2am, I woke up without my alarm at 6am. Since starting this program I seem to have more energy and I have been waking up earlier for days. However this resulted in me only getting 4-5 hours sleep which would have a impact on the days performance.
Before getting ready for school, I decided to complete the sets of exercises first. They proved no trouble or tiring what so ever, although I could feel the parts of my body which they were working on.
After arriving home I had lunch before setting out to do my 3km run/jog with extra weight. I made sure to stretch before hand, so I wouldn't feel as much pain as during the previous run. Guess what? It didn't work.
Although I could barely feel the weight on my back I got a serious stomach cramp within the first 200m, every step became a struggle and I came very close to stopping. What kept me going were the comments I had received over the past few days. The commentators were eager to follow my progress and by stopping I would be letting everyone down including myself. I fought through it going slower than usual, I finished the run in about 18 minutes averaging 6:17 per km. I was quite supprised I even made it under seven minutes but I did.
I spent most of the afternoon brewing and testing my Mtg deck before I had to head off to my night course, by the time it had started I had been up for 12 hours, walked at least 5km and ran 3km. I was knackered and could barely concentrate. Upon arriving home still ready to stream, twitch went down. It appeard to be a UK only problem. I ended up spending one hour playing where I went 3-2. The games went better than that score shows. I played 4 zergs and 1 protoss. Going 3-1 and 0-1 respectively.
The loss vs the protoss was a stupid one, I scouted with a drone as usual and saw a gateway first so went 15 hatch. The protoss then proceeded to cancel build a forge and cannon rush. I ended up trying to all in and failed because I was so far behind. Luckily the loss has a simple fix, keep the drone at the protoss base until I am 100% sure what he is doing!
My ZvZ on the other hand has improved massively I won 3 macro games without any problems and my only loss was to a guy I beat in a macro game who then proceeded to 10 pool me, a build order counter to my 15/17/16. I almost held, the only thing that allowed him to win was his faster queen and the fact I took off gas. In the future if I hold the initial rush I will get back into gas asap for earlier bane-lings.
Starcraft Summary
Vs Zerg (3-1)
- Continue to improve creep spread.
Vs Protoss (0-1)
- Further benchmark practice.
- Learn how to properly defend a 2 gate.
- Learn how to identify every build/all in.
- Make sure I know 1000% what the protoss is doing before leaving his base with the drone.
Most of my remaining problems with hopefully go away after I spend a few more days grinding ladder/customs. I can then focus on scouting and working out how to respond to stuff.
Over the next few days I will be facing a few milestones. Wednesday is my last day of school...EVER! I have a few school exams over the next few weeks and these will of course effect my schedule. As a result some days I will not be streaming so I can revise or find time for a break. The only days which I will halt the fitness will be on exam days, the first one being Wednesday as a result there will also be no blog. During the next few blogs I may explain some of my plans for the future.
If you enjoy these blogs and would like to either support me or watch my progress please follow me on twitter and twitch the links can be found below.
As always thanks for reading. Tomorrow there will be no stream and I will be studying for my exams. Ill try and sneak in a few games between breaks!
Note: I am still looking for someone to help me with improving my stream quality via graphics etc, let me know if you can help out!
