After looking across various exercise regimes I decided upon starting the "30 days of change" program designed by Neila Rey, to begin my journey to fitness. The program starts slow and has a varied approach to getting in shape, it can also be broken up along the day so people with busy schedules can also give it ago. This was today's objective;
Wednesday for me is usually a free day, so I usually sleep in but NOT TODAY! I woke up early and decided to complete the various exercises in a single chunk. I decided upon the level two option which involved 20 moves in each set. They ended up being harder than I initially expected and took me around 15 minutes to complete and I felt it on my legs for the rest of the day.
After showering I had a healthy breakfast which included a banana which are apparently really good fitness foods as they release energy slowly throughout the day. Feeling optimistic I left the house to complete the 30 minute jog which was the last part of the days recommended exercise.
My initial optimism was quickly crushed after a mere 1 kilometer was covered. In my haste I had made the beginner mistake of starting off to quickly and without properly stretching, this combined with the beating my legs had already taken resulted in a leg cramp and left me gasping for breath. As a result despite walking on average of 5km a day I only managed to jog ( should probably say crawl) 3.5 km in 30 minutes!!! Which was a disappointing start to the cardio part of the regime. But provided me a stark reminder of my goals and I can't wait to try it again.
After battling through school work and a driving lesson with a cramped leg the game portion finally arrived and I had never been more pleased to see a terran in my life or... so I thought.
The two hours I spent streaming Sc2 ended up being mostly ZvT games where I took a battering due to my reduced mechanical potential, spurred on by the chat I fought back ending the evening with a 3-2 score over terran and a 2-0 score over zerg. With my mechanics improving I am happy with the progress I made. Unfortunately I was hit by a technical mishap which meant I had to cut the stream short without hearthstone.
Bring on tomorrow! Tomorrow ill start the stream at 7pm GMT+1 and I would love to see more of you there and hopefully one of you will give this program a go and let me know how it went, you have 18 hours!!!
Thanks for reading and keeping me motivated ill see you tomorrow!
P.S I need to come up with a appropriate stream title and description for the stream which accurately advertises what I am trying to achieve, if anyone can help me with that send me a message!
