1) If you miss/do poorly for like a year or two in school, you will have HUGE problems catching up afterwards, because everything builds on what you have done previously. This is not so much in other subjects. You don't need to know ancient history to understand WW2, you don't need to know the names of all US states to go deeper into African strutures, etc. 2) Around high school people go through puberty, and then school does not seem very important for most. Go figure... I'd say that this is a major cause of so many people going "math is sooo hard", "i'm stupid!!!", "I hate math!" etc. I don't have anything backing that up though, except for a little bit of experience in teaching. So my advice to you is: yes, school is not most important thing in life, and at your age all proffesors seem stupid. But try to tag along reasonably in math, at least so you can catch up later if you want to. | ||
