I'll explain what the Starbow Sc2 mod is all about for those who don't know about it already. It basically combines the best pf Brood War and Sc2 combining units, abilities, and introducing new abilities of its own that make the game more tactic oriented as opposed to build order oriented.
Starbow resembles Brood War closely in many ways. For example the pathing is different in Starbow so units don't clump up decreasing the effeciveness of aoe spells/attacks and units stay in formation just like in BW discouraging death balls. Stacking air units, having smaller engagements, and having more spread out units rather than a major engagement between two armies like in Sc2 make it even more Brood War like.
It seems like Starbow is a growing trend after seeing people like Crank, Husky, and TB streaming/posting videos on Youtube. There's also a subreddit that's been created dedicated to the Starbow mod with around 120 people. I've already seen a few posts on the /r/Starcraft subreddit that talks about how exciting and fun Starbow is for them. Just recently I saw a thread on reddit about TB that he might host a Starbow tournament. It seems like Starbow is continually growing into its own thing
At the same time I feel like I may be overestimating the size of Starbow and it may or may not fizzle out shortly after its time in the limelight.
Sadly, I can't really play Starbow because my computer is so bad at running Sc2. It's good enough though playing BW and watching Starbow games on Youtube anyway.
Thanks for reading and below are some videos of Starbow just for your...convenience.
