WCS AM Qual Wildcard experience

this time I actually was able to "participate" in this tournament. I got a bye first, 2nd, 3rd round so I made it to ro16 and only had to wait 3 hours!

Then the admins made an announcement saying they will take an HOUR LONG break (was actually closer to 2) to clean up the brackets.

Then nasl admin makes an announcement saying they are rescheduling tourney to a later date.

Best 4 hours of my life right there in an unforgettable tourney experience!

I honestly think NASL has been running the AM WCS really crappy this year so far...EU WCS (not nasl ran btw) seems to be going a heck of a lot better. I really hope NASL gets on the ball or I think they shouldn't be allowed to host WCS tournament for next 2 years or something.

That's easy to say, but if not NASL, then who? MLG already tried and they failed as well. NASL's live events (Ro16 onward) at least were much better than MLG's (which isn't saying much, because the product MLG put out for WCS was garbage).

There really isn't another entity that could host an event other than MLG and NASL. I don't think Red Bull is willing to make that much of an investment to host, since they don't have too much infrastructure set up.

We're basically stuck with these organizations if the event is to be held in NA.

there were so many no shows/dq's in the first bracket that i was going to get sent straight to ro8 without playing anyone, which is quite lulzy.

what really makes me sad is after they remade the bracket i won my ro32 and felt confident against the other people in my bracket only to find out they canceled it. geegee~!

A bunch of the "progamers" didn't read the rules and there were a bunch of no shows. The date of the event was announced twice, but no one showed up for some odd reasons. I don't really blame NASL for people not taking the time to know when the matches were. Its like when you miss registration for new classes in college. You have no one to blame but yourself.

it's not sarcasm it's pure embarassment at this point to be associated with the america region and how badly nasl has fucked up so far. After the first qualifier blunder, I didn't think things could get worse. Now I cringe when I think about what the fuck could go worse the next qualifier
