I want to create a casual starcraft team. Simple as that.
Over the years ive joined a few, put out requests for practice partners and asked on the Bnet in the right channels to try and get some people together who want play this game with a little more focus than climbing the ladder.
The issues i run into is the team either stops playing, breaks up, i dont get in the inner circles so have barely any say or the team just doesnt play.
What i want to do is change all that and start my own team/group of people. At least that way im in charge and i know ill keep playing!
So, why would you join my team or at least favorite my group channel/stream?
I was a diamond player back in the wol days (really want this back as my motivation went when all the above happened as i was playing and beating master level players quite a bit), so anyone below this level would at least have one solid practice partner who will be on a lot of the time
Im 32, a teacher and can do all the production stuff, provide prize money/games/codes for in house tournies.
As a progGRammer i have skills in Web design and programming and could create custom stuff, my bronze zerg timer app is something a couple of people found useful back when the game game came out and we were drilled with making probes, making pylons!
Learning the other 3 races and the meta builds to prepare Practice Nights against the common problems faced when playing the game
A structured way to play. Challenges or open discussions set on a website for people to get involved with.
the ideas are big and grand as i write this now. All i need is a little bit of interest. All it would take is another 3 people, preferably one of each race (or i switch to another as im a zerg mainly) to get this going and i can guarantee a well thought out, mature platform to get more out of the game.
I have set up online gaming groups before, one called PMM and TCG for xbox/console racing and fps. Our team managed to place 2nd against iG in a gears of war tournie on a televised event on xleague. We then attended another invite for Forza2 launch i have experience in organising this sort of thing hence why i dont think just coming and having a look wont hurt at the very least
All leagues are welcome and all discussion has merit, (none of that elitist ur not gm so no opinion) in this joint.
Thanks for reading and i hope i can get a bit of support from any of you. Bottom line i can be a very strong practice partner for anyone.
Stream: Statixex Statix.501 EU : ReturnZero.446 US
BNetGroup: RZero on EU mainly (*return zero . . . a programming reference meaning everything went ok!! . .and no thats not a pointer . . . . . .hidden joke in there somewhere!)
Updates to follow. Ill try to do this for a couple of months and decide if its worth carrying on and start doing the things you really want like tournies and giveaways

I am based in SG too but have never played on EU (played on NA a bit), whats the latency like?
Was Plat Terran on NA and SEA.

my connection seems to be good on all servers, only noticable lag is sea, but its minor and i can get to plat with it!

This sounds like my frustrations with clans/practice partner thread. I'll join you guys! Najda#292 on NA servers, idk my EU # though I'll have to check when I get home. Since we have players on various servers, is there a central place we can meet up, like TeamSpeak, outside of battle.net?

I spotted this and noticed your name from my PvZ topic. Had a read through and this seems really good, I was planning on adding you on BNet anyway for the PvZ drills as it's incredibly difficult to find people willing to help out lower leaguers such as myself and I thank you for that offer.
I'd definitely be interested in joining in despite my terrible skills, I'm fairly new to the game, this being my 3rd proper ladder season, I feel a little bit of discussion and the odd challenge would help me get a lot more out of my mechanics and game knowledge overall and it seems really difficult to find a group with these kind of things as I've bumped into my fair share of elitism whenever I've typed something I've found difficulty with.

kata yes, i undserstand, im re going through the friustration barrier as i try to get back into this games meta, seriously add me on EU or NA and i can at least play against you styles you dont like.
we will most likely use the group chat on skype but i havnt got a problem getting mumble, teamspeak, ventrillo, raidcall. add me in the game and then i can give addresses for all of that stuff

It's more of an issue that I don't want to have to check 3 servers to see if theres someone from the group online. It'd be easier if there was a central place to meet to see if anyone wanted to game.

I'll join. Former top masters player, played on a couple high-level semi-pro teams a couple years ago, created Clarity Gaming.
|
I'll join if you don't mind recruiting gold league players! D: I'm motivated to improve fast, and enthusiastic, I promise
Edit: Character code on EU - Retasu.578 NA - Soul.1161
|
You guys need to post your Bnet name#tag. I'm on now Najda#292 if anyone wants to play EU or NA
|
I just recently joined another team, but suffice to say I'm very interested in a clan of very active players. For now I'd be interested in being associated with your clan in a more informal fashion. Hit me up for practice games whenever and I'll see if I'll join later on down the line. Capiorcorpus#941 Gold league zerg

so far interest from:
Capiorcorpus#941 KatatoniK cravin74 EU - Retasu.578 NA - Soul.1161
chadissilent - master - created clarity gaming?
No need for you but thatnkls for reading, but as a suggestion for your team you could grow your support fan base and do something similar to this, would take away the painful start im trying to make and you have the name.
The website and in built chat system im going to make will be the central hub (add me to skpe for now)to get the players together but i know what you mean jumping servers, but ive been doing it for 3 years and that was before you could change the server in game :D, yes this is going back to where i had an account for every region. Good times, lots of play, much success! For now its the only method until we start using some of the group tools available. Skype may be the best. Join the RZero channel for the skype email

I'm not in a team, haven't played in over a year.
