I know someone mentioned it before in this thread, but AGDQ is the speedrunning equivalent of the FGC's EVO. I'm pretty sure both are burned out like fuck practising for the event and it makes sense that they haven't touched/streamed the games since AGDQ.

Since I got an E-Mail ~15 hours ago I guess they started to message the winners. Never thought that a donation without a comment gets you into the raffle. Pleasant surprise and a bit bad conscience since the prize is worth more than the donation.
Why be that. Kind of like being sad you wont the lottery, except the money you spent goes to a great cause

A lot happens leading up to AGDQ but it's amazing to be "free" to do what you want. There's a good split of people who carry on, those who take a break and those who just drop their game and gtfo.
Both runners are planning to take back records if they get taken from them so there will be more of those games from them in the future.
We're taking a break from Left 4 Dead for a few months and I'm back to playing DMC3 casually again. Other people just carry on playing the game a load and get a huge motivational boost to carry on. That happened to me last year. It effects everyone differently. Werster, for example, is going to be playing more Pokémon than ever.

I wouldn´t participate in lottery if I know I can´t win. Was really surprised I was part of the raffle and then getting a prize felt a bit odd. But ofc I´m not that generous to say "no, keep the prize and spend it´s money to PCF"

You can always donate more money to at least cover the costs of the prize, if that makes you feel better.

Cosmo left the cable he needs to connect his GBA to his Wii at AGDQ. He initially wasn't streaming WW because he couldn't as he then couldn't use the tingle tuner. I honestly don't know if he's gotten it back yet as there were a lot of things left at AGDQ and Mike has been sorting through the lost and found to get everything sent back to the right people.

You have to understand that Siglemic has played thousands of hours of SM64. He ran MM and OoT and some other things before becoming a god at SM64 and just needed a break. It's not the first time that he's done this in the last few months alone. Also, Cosmo started running WW less than a year ago and has constantly taken breaks and learned new games/routes.

I think he tweeted that trihex mailed it to him, but he seems pretty content routing up some paper mario for now.
I wouldn't be able to do an awesome thread like everything which was done for last year. Considering there's also a SC2 run this year with a great statue to win. I could just post the promo video: AGDQ 2014 Promo video
Some of the many games that will be run through January 5-11:
Super Mario 64, Star Fox 64, Banjo Kazooie, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/ Majora's Mask/ Twilight Princess/ Link's Awakening/ A Link to the Past/ Wind Waker, Goldeneye 007, Perfect Dark, Metroid games, Contra games, Portal games, Half-Life games, Chrono Trigger, Bioshock, F-Zero games, Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Donkey Kong Country games, Super Mario Bros. games, Mega Man games, Castlevania games, Pikmin 3, Viewtiful Joe, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Jak and Daxter, and sooo many more...
Im not sure if Raelcun has thought about it much either, but everyone has been really busy and I don't even believe we've come up with a TL donation incentive for this year, so if there are any ideas throw them out there so that we can hype it up and get the donations rolling during my segment and kill it with Raelcun's SC2 later on in the marathon.
Apologies if I missed any other TL runners that are in there this year. I only know Flicky/Lee but I do not believe Lee is going this time around.

We definitely need a TL incentive. We crushed on the FF Violet donation incentive. This community makes me proud, and i think we can totally do it again.
