Because mutas suck kinda hard in a direct engagement? :-P At least if you don't have like... 30 of them.
And could someone explain me why Stardust went for CHARGE (!) against MUTALISKS(!)? Not that Blink would have changed that much - but still...
I think its a timing he is working on vs hydra compositions, he didnt see those mutas coming at all.
But he just started charge right before he saw the Mutalisks as far as I know :-?
Well, I can only guess, maybe he was sure scarlett is going to bait him into a fake base race with mutas, making ~8 muta and making it look like game 1 where she massed muta but instead mass ground army, but he was mistaken. Edit: he was sure she is meta-gaming him after she meta-gamed him but he was meta-gamed by himself? meta-gameception.

Maybe it was a mistake
Yea thats a way to sum it up, he made a mistake thinking scarlett isnt making mass muta XP
Similar openings here, I noticed a pylon before gateway with SDs build (better econmy, later tech) and also he went double zealot to try pressure the 3rd which is without creep spread at the start + the fact that Scarlett doesnt get speed early so you can get some damage dealt if not make her build quite a few zerlings early.
The follow is robo again but with a twilight and 2nd forge so long macro game coming from SD, Akilon is good for this because 3rd can easily be taken and defended but thats what it looks like on the on the simple level but this build is something SD used at Dreamhascks across the year, he likes to hit with +2 +1 timing with immortal and gateway units. So even though this looks macro and long, it probably wont be.
Small movement outs before the upgrades are ready will get scarlett building units early and maybe lower her drone scout but she is at 71 anyway so doesnt really matter but SD doesnt want to attack without +2 +1 otherwise this is a fail attack.
Scarlett is doing great vs the pylons that are springing up and obviosuly know whats going on. SD has lost quite a few units loosely, zealots/sentries while getting ready for his mcore and +2 to finish and Scarletts great macro, 71 drones and good production again helping out a fuck ton...
Great macro from scarlett, great defence, cool game but look like SD ran out of tricks and didn't know what to do to win vs Scarlett and tried one of his older strategies (a little different with zealot charge over blink)
Scarlett holding strong, but immortal allin is powerful. Good back and forth! Warp Prism goes downnnnn and the 4-5- sacrificial drones tank just enough to deflect the attack.
+1 Muta attack completes, Scarlett adding Mutalisk into the composition vs Stardust mainly Chargelot, Sentry, Immortal.
15:40 Stardust situating himself at Scarlett's 4th - researching blink adding stalkers.
