If that pylon hadn't gone down, I agree that Stardust might've won. I don't know... He would have had a chance ofc, but I think Scarlett would still have had an advantage in the game, thanks to her Mutalisks. Yeah but Stardust was handling the base race way better, and was pretty close to eliminating her. A few more stalkers and a few less mutas means Scarlett can't engage

With 61drones and good tech behind it, she had roaches/hydras already building (skipping zergling speed helped with this fast tech).
Really good start, good micro, strong play - Still I was a little scared when she wasn't ready on time for the warpprism at first.
Even though Stardust got into her main base and killed the lair, the counter killing ~25probes really hurt stardust as well so he was equally slowed down in production and tech. I like the decision from scarlett to go into muta, they do great damage into the proble line while usually buying Zerg enough time to drone up/army up to deal with the oncoming Protoss army which is usually chasing the Mutalisk around - Stardust though realized chasing around the mtua is what scarlett wants so he decided to just attack instead and loser his economy and infrastructure.
Scarlett had to much for Stardust to deal with, nice running and around and buying a little more time.. closer than it almost should have been though O_O
Thanks for this kind of analysis. It helps me understand what happened because there's a lot of little things that I miss or don't realise the importance of. you are welcome, there is sooooooo much to talk about so even I don't mention everything, not enough time to write and watch the games lol, need replays and pauses lots of thinking and talks usually, StarCraft is a fckin epic game Dat passion <3

WCS EU was great for that (from ro16 onwards). Again, thanks

Scarlett is a really smart player, she always finds the right answer to everything. I'm not even a Protoss hater but i think this ramp blocks are kinda problematic. Smart move by Stardust, but still this seems to strong in many situations, there should be a way for zerg to destroy a single forcefield, but it shouldn't be possible to pull that of in normal engagments. Maybe let it break if an overlord spreads creep there or i dunno

Ah, Freaky. The memories. I remember when he used to set overlords on patrol just on the edge of his opponent's vision, going in and out of it, to mask the real infestor drops.

Can someone please gift TL+ to Apollo already? I would do it myself, but I´m unfortunately intellectually not able to use online-banking from another site than my online-banking-account-site. I promise to re-pay you the money at the next Gamescom.

Build order openings play a big part of the early game, players going hatch gas pool or hatch hatch pool will eventually get stung by a cannonrush/proxy gateway or some shit - I always like to follow the mind games on who wants to open up with a small advantage or who is scared.
After game1, where Scarlett went hatch first, she went pool first this time because she was expecting that maybe Stardust tried to do the above So sadly, Scarlett opens up with a weaker start than usual especally vs a Nexus first here.
I think Derelict is a great map for scarlett, id be expecting some greed or 2base allin from Stardust because holding the middle ground outside the natural/3rd is really difficult, so much surface area to cover, usualy not enough forcefields and Zerg gets a fckin epic fight usually.

you should really write a book about Starcraft. I'd buy it.

Here come the Voidrays. I hope Scarlett reacts properly and not just spams Hydras

Scarlett was looking for +1 but it wasn;t researching the first time and then when she poked up again a Stalker pushed the 2 lings back, she is in the dark for the time being and doesn;t even have an overlord outside the main base, only the natural. A bad start for Scaarlett if we include the first post I made about her openings - ESPECIALLY losing the queen on the 3rd.
Stardust has a great start, an oracle as his choice from the stargate while expanding (which was spotted straight away) but the oracle should give him an even bigger lead i nthe game because it should get drones.......... and it will get a few... 2 is ok more is better but it can also help defend the 3rd.
From this point, Scarlett needs to attack soon because if she doesn't Stardust with his great start and early 3rd will run away with this game I think (Oracle up to 7kills before dieing, goooooooooooooooood)

6 forcefields for 2 hydras. Ok !

Hereeeeeeee comes the mutas! And here comes the base trade? Toss needs Phoenix with range to deal with mutas correctly and efficiently.

standard muta ball of death from scarlett..... Oo

2k minerals.... mass those spines!

Scarlett choose against attacking, I guess she realized she was playing from too far behind to make it succesful so she droned A LOT lol - 89drones O_O
She chose to switch over to muta pretty fast in this game and Stardust simply hasn't spotted it at all which is really important, his army is zealot sentry immortal lol... He was expecting Scarlett to attack into his open ground area which is so common and he was ready for that but not for muta.
Emergency cannons come in and templar started. He is going for storm/archons to defend, both very very immobile, Scarlett just needs to run around and build up and increase her eco while doing all the damage she can. I think without Phjoenix though, super high muta count cannot be stopped so Scarlett is making this switch work which again came down to lack of information gathering from Stardust, he will upset about this considering he is 0-1 down and was leading in this game.
