I will read it, thx for answer. I have one more question: I use "mmr stats" plugin with sc2gears - will I be able to use it with Scelight??

Hopefully the authors of the MMR Stats plugin will port it to a Scelight External Module.

SPM!!!!!! Hell yes. That gets me excited.

I'd like to know why I'd try it out? What are the feartures SC2Gears doesn't have?
How do you explain the 15 seconds delay and the HUGE memoryusage through JAVA?
I don't see any reason for this release, I'm quiet disappointed.

On the other hand I can't seem to find the EAPM calculation, am I being dumb or is it not there anymore? No big deal but I kind of liked it. Thanks for another great tool! EAPM is an upcoming feature.
Oh, great, thanks!

"What are the features Sc2gears doesn't have?" Read the Op post or News if you haven't already. If you have already read it and you still don't know, then you shouldn't try it out.
Huge memory usage: switch to 32-bit Java. By default Scelight uses like 30 MB of memory with 32-bit Java. That's LESS that Sc2gears initial memory usage.

Since you are the one who developed the autouploader for GGtracker, will you be making a plugin for Scelight that does the same? I think it's quite convenient to have the replays automatically uploaded somewhere if I want to share them.
Other than this I look forward to future updates to get some of the sc2gears features in this program as well.
Edit: Also is it possible to have additional custom template options for singular players? For example I'd like a tab in the replay list that shows only MY apm not average and not my opponents. Preferred player list would set me as 1 and show only that apm. Have I missed how to do this? Or is it not in there.

Is there a search filter for replays like in SC2gears? I can't seem to find it.

-Yes, other Sc2gears features will come.
-Template engine and symbols will also be improved. What you can do now is make yourself a favored player, and use a template which lists APMs of players: <[PIBapm]> Since you're favored, your APM will be the first.

There is no "separate" search function yet. If you want to search, list the replays and use the table tool bar to instant search/filter replays.

+1
I always loved SC2Gears, but after a while I got fed-up with Java. I finally just uninstalled the whole mess, while SC2Gears was great, it wasn't worth the hassle of dealing with Java.

I used SC2Gears a long time ago but i was wondering what are the main differences between this new software and GGtracker ?
Is it just that you don't need to upload replays ? Is it an alternative to GGtracker or a complementary software ?

From the OP
The program is written in Java so everyone can use it: Windows, MAC OS-X and Linux users (and others where you can install Java).

Is it just that you don't need to upload replays ? Is it an alternative to GGtracker or a complementary software ? Scelight is a desktop application, you run it on your computer. You don't have to upload replays, your replays remain safe / private. Since this being local, it is also faster.
Also Scelight provides services which GGTracker can't, e.g. replay management (auto-save, auto-rename, manual rename etc) and other services, like game start alert, others which are not yet added (e.g. APM alert).
