Over-explaining what is just a pressure vote. + Show Spoiler + On November 01 2013 01:32 Bereft wrote: given that activity is low, it generates discussion by putting someone in the hot seat, forcing them to defend themselves while at the same time forcing the rest of town to interact with said individual. in this game it's worth at least some consideration since not only are there more scum but the set up discourages bussing to an extent. I'm not advocating a blind lynch - it's not a 31% chance that we lynch scum but a 31% chance that we pressure scum day 1. ##Vote: Pandain Soft defending Oats a bit + Show Spoiler + On October 31 2013 11:37 Bereft wrote: why oatsmaster? do you like picking individuals who aren't around to defend themselves, mr. grackaroni? I initially had a pretty town read on grack considering he was the only one who seemed to care about the game fof the first 12 hours or so, but now I find it incongruous that he suddenly tunnels on oats for pushing easy lynch bait, when going back to reread the filters, I find like a 1 liner from oats on the subject, and a much harder push from laughing jack. while I would agree the "I make mistakes as town" defense is weak, this post in particular seemed a bit like he was grasping to me two waaay different contexts. in one oats is blatantly being told he sucks balls, which would raise anyone's hackes. Low activity and multiple excuses for low activity + Show Spoiler + On November 02 2013 03:16 Bereft wrote: hey guys sorry for the afk. got too caught up with halloween festivities and now hungover at work. fwiw (which i know is not much) i had no intention of actually leaving my vote on pandain - thought i'd have time to come back before the deadline . am aware of what a total cop out afk vote it looks like and i understand the suspicion. All this combined with the fact that bereft left a vote on Pandain and then went afk. 1 final random thing I noticed. In one of Oats final posts he refers to bereft as a she. + Show Spoiler + On November 03 2013 03:19 Oatsmaster wrote: Bereft hasnt posted much of anything so lurker but depending on what she posts, I could totally be up to lynch her. Lets see. I looked through their history's and they have never played in the same game before and I don't see anything in bereft's recent posts that indicates she's female. However, usually people who roll mafia together will add each other on skype and that would be an easy way to learn she is female. This could be nothing tho (Oats could have found out some other way etc) just wanted to add it to see what others thought.

I believe this is Bereft's first non-newbie game as well. I'll see if he coached any games with her.

Bereft doesn't sounds like a girl-id so he shouldn't assumed she was a she.

She was playing with my old boys. I have one possible solution but I'll see if she says it.

I think it's interesting but not a sole reason to lynch her, which I'm sure you never intended it to be.

I am almost unaware of bereft being in the game tbh. I'll reread that filter first when I get to my computer. There are a multitude of reasons to choose from for why to lynch asinine. Pandain basically said we have no choice but to Lynch him and I agree with that statement.
