Ex-Brood War and WoL progamer  Kal has joined team Prime. Kal finished his military service with the air force last month, and after spending some time resting at home, he has decided to return as a pro-gamer. DES reports that many teams showed interested, but Kal ended up choosing Prime.
Kal spent the majority of his career on STX Soul before joining Air Force ACE. After Air Force ACE disbanded, he served out the rest of his military service as a regular soldier. DES reports that even though the Korean air force disbanded their pro team, they allowed Kal to keep practicing, and he has kept up some degree of skill.

Is this for real? Kal is back? It would be awesome to have another dragon back in the scene, and on Prime no less. Best of luck to him if this is true.

Completely unexpected. I hope he brings strong Protoss play to the team, especially with another year of SPL coming up! Great to see him back.

From google translate it looks like he'll be playing SC2, and apparently practiced a lot while in the air force so his condition isn't too bad.

Wow pretty cool news. I hope someone translates the article though cause if somebody told me Kal is back I would have thought it was for BW. Im sure they will have asked him about it so I wanna know what made him decide to join a SC2 team for now.

Wow this is amazing! It'd sure be great to see one of the best Protosses from BW mount a comeback, and on a team like Prime no less! Will be rooting for him!

Essentially, he joined because Gerrard was desperate for another Protoss besides Creator.
