I know I am like 4 years late to it all, but I just watched Up, the animated movie with the dogs, the old man, and the little boy.
Well, I knew it was a good movie, but it's a definite 9.5/10 in my book, the .5 taken away because of all the un-logical things (old man with infinite strength, and people that don't need to eat). I also did not expect to be shedding some tears 5 minutes in. Lol. This is by far the movie that has made me cry the most, but it is suchhhh a good movie so it's ok.
Anyways, before watching this, I was sad at bisu's recent retirement. More specifically, his post-retirement interview. I grew up watching him, and he was my role model as well. I always asked how can I improve my mechanics to be more like bisu? He played a large role in my life and I am both sad to see him go, but happy to see him happy and ready to move on with his life.
During the movie, there was a part of Ellie's adventure book that really just hit me hard (and produced more tears).
Thanks for the adventure - now go have a new one!
Well, I gotta thank bisu for the great adventure he's lead me through. I am happy that I got to know who he was and watch him play many years of broodwar, but now we must be moving on. And instead of being held up in the past, I will look to the future for new adventures

This movie is at least a 9.5 if any movies are. And, of course you cried at the beginning, if you have a heart!

I liked it a lot as well, but imo I think wall-e is a bit better.

I remember going to the theater to see this with my son when it first came out. I went in expecting the place to be filled with lots of screaming tots and frazzled parents as usual. I was quite surprised to see the place at least half full with retirees sitting there in anticipation.
I think that speaks well for how good Up is and how it reached across generations to touch people.

Hmm I had never heard of this movie prior to the blog (I don't watch many movies). I'll check it out, thanks for the recommendation.

I'm so glad we have artists in the world that are truly about their passion, and make amazing movies such as this.

I wish I saw it in theatre... that would have been exceptional.

Saw it in the theater with a bunch of friends and we all acted like we didn't cry. Of course we all did.

I just finished watching it, around 7/10 for me. It was good at the start, but as the movie wore on with the everyday problems stopping the journey I started to dislike the main character. It is probably a matter of how you view private finances.
The scenes etc was well done, but past minute 20 it trailed off a lot for me.
