Congratz to him for his sc2 career.
Why the hell would he? He earned that money

I kinda got sad towards the end of that video, seems like he matured over his stay here in sc2 land.

Frightening thought, him being an engineer.
If Iron Man is any indication, Stephano could build something fierce using his ESPORTS millions...

His earnings can not probably considered as "gambling winings", hence as all income, they are subject to tax, aren't they ?
I think he never declared his earnings and he probably doesn't want to be catch by the french "IRS" ...
But everything I said are assumptions, nothing serious, i love this guy.

not a fan, but always sad to see a pro retires. ty and gl!

Good luck to Stephano. Really sad to see him go but completely understand. Hopefully, he'll check in with the community once in a while.

I think France still has a wealth tax though, although I don't think he has enough money for it to really matter. Most likely he chose Luxembourg because of a school there he got into.
I find it kinda hilarious that I still hear people say "He's going to med school" when it's based upon something he said in an interview more than a year ago that he had thoughts about becoming a doctor. I can't even recall all the ideas on what to study I had at that age, just as most people.

If they had been declared. It's not obvious this is not a common case ... progamer.

It's good explanation too, he has lacked two years of education and probably no engineering french school would take him at this level.

Think this community is going to miss his personality and such more than him as a player, he was one player who could give interviews, make people laugh and actually be good at the game. He made the right choice in the end.
|
Good choice. GL in you future endeavors.
|
The end of the modern foreigner hope. GL HF Stephano, you will forever be remembered as a legend.
|
sad to see you go, silly frenchman. That having been said, made the right choice probably (school important bruh)
|
Another display of good decision making out of Stephano. gl hf!

He said that's what he was going to do when he first started rising into the scene, comes as no surprise.
Have fun in college Stephano!

Actually being a student in Luxembourg will not make him a 'resident' for tax purpose... so he will still file in France. and since the tuition fees (a few hundred euros) are pretty much the same on both side of the border... that is prolly not a driving force either. otoh the Luxembourg program seems very international, for someone having had his life for the past couple of years that is probably quite attractive to stay in a diverse international setting...
