Terminated is the correct professional term for fired. There really should not be any confusion about this. No... the professional term for fired... is FIRED, or let go, just the fact that you have to word it differently in order to explain it proves how damn confusing it is Well a contract gets terminated, a person gets fired. So its just poor wording, either it should say the admin got fired or his contract got terminated.

No, this TL, were people are confused by professional things and don't get that a business does not say "We fired someone" in a press release. There was part of me that expected someone to complain "Why didn't they tell people which admin it was so no one else hires him?"

If MLG fires someone everytime they mess up something with WCS AM they are going to be understraffed people quickly...

Poor Moosegills. Probably really fucked with his mindset. Guy is tied 1-1 with Demuslim in the biggest game of his career, suddenly he's told he has to go back and play Miya. Demuslim, Moosegills and Sasquatches mindsets all get fucked up cause of this.
MLG made the wrong call here, 100%. Thankfully Genna made it right, as she always does. This should of been no question, and wasting time on it is stupid. You don't go fucking back in time in a tournament. Making 1 person suffer for an admins mistake is better then making the rest of the bracket suffer.
Shitty situation, no doubt. One that MLG didn't only create themselves, but also managed to bungle in the handling off.
Also, it's Miyas responsibility to know what time he plays. It was labeled clearly in several places...just asking the admin is not the way to go about this. :/ I like Miya a lot as a player, but this mistake was on him as well as the admin.

Um, no. In no way can you put responsibility on Miya in this situation. If a player is unsure for whatever reason about what time he needs to play, asking an admin is the obvious choice, especially if English isn't their first language.

The admins are there because bracket times can change by a minutes notice and that the info on the web pages simply can't keep up with possible re-schedules, if anything the admins are the most reliable source of information a player has regarding match times and so forth.
How was he even suppose to know what source was bad and which was good? Was it the admin, the written pages on the website, or are they all correct or maybe they are were wrong? How you can blame this on the players is beyond me.

firing him seems a bit harsh, unless this wasnt his only mistake

Drastic measures indeed!!! But really classy of MLG to admit their mistakes!

insta terminate. Swift justice.

We don't know the history of this admin, but i would imagine that MLG wont fire some one for a single mistake and that perhaps this person already had a history of mistakes before this so firing him or to terminate his contract seems a legit choice.

Hope they at least let his family live. Vince McMahon approves of MLGs decision.

And then miya lost on the loser bracket to TOP Now its the time for regret, if he hadn't accepted the forfeit he could have played against demuslim. Even if he lost, he would have gotten an easier opponent.
Basically MLG got Miya to lose his spot on the challenger league.

Two casters + Sundance to run the entire WCS murika. Could work.

It does sound like they killed him remotely or something, to be honest.
We... took care of that special problem of your's.

I blame Blizzard for this fiasco as well. It feels like every week MLG has another issue with WCS that already happened back in NASL S1.
While we all suffered through that back then, NASL learned from their mistakes. Now it is MLG's turn to make them and we are all suffering again.
