In principle it can be countered by the less expensive +1 attack In reality energy shields has the same benefit in phoenix wars, same cost, and benefits your ground troops too. | ||

I can see how archons would be good to protect your collossi, but after a certain point I would think some immortals or even stalkers would be better than infinity archons lol | ||
