Do you remember MC being scared to death of meeting Puma in the first NASL? Nobody knew how good Puma was and then he just came in through that qualifier and took everyone apart

He honestly could have defended vs that immortal/sentry push better sure, but I wouldn't say anywhere close to terrible. He played extremely greedy (I never said he didn't) and he defended about as good as you could considering the situation. He microd his units very well, got his queens to snipe warp prism and then defended. Again playing greedy and getting caught and then defending it very well doesn't = "Wow jaedong played terrible he wasn't prepared!" that's a "jaedong played super greedy should have died/taken a lot of damage but was able to defend very well considering the situation". At least understand what you are calling terrible and what happened. He also didn't even see the army until it was pretty much at his third so yeah he had no time to put down spines. Exactly. But what I'm saying is that if JD was up against a better Protoss, he would have had no chance. I may come off too hard on the kid but thats whats needed to get some sense into the EG-TL prising fangirls. On a game related note, thats what happens when you play bad and the player you are facing is on your level and not below. "if" is a solid argument, indeed. Next time when JD is up against a better toss, ok? Moreover, Aria came to play after defeating really good players, it would be an understatement saying Aria is a bad toss. His play wasn't exactly perfect either ^^ So, you didn't enjoy the game? ok

It's not just about you, it's about how good your opponent is countering what you are doing, and how good you can counter what your opponents do. There is no absolute "i play good", its always relative to what your opponent does and how hard is to react and adjust to his play. Flash already defined "good play" in absolute terms during his early years.
That's not because nobody found a way to beat flash play that it was impossible. If BW last longer, maybe someone would have appear and show to flash "hey man, look, you are not the absolute best play !"

There are better players than bronze players, so they can improve their play.
Same for Jaedong and Aria. Jaedong played better than Aria. That's it. If Jaedong played perfect and Aria played perfect, then who would be the winner ?
There is always better and worst play.

I think so yeah could take some time but have taken a good while for the points to be added on GSTL. Usually before they added it ~24h after the match..
