Being caught by an un scouted 7 gate and having a late roach warren he defended extremely well even though the toss messed up and lost the warp prism. He honestly could have defended vs that immortal/sentry push better sure, but I wouldn't say anywhere close to terrible. I'm nowhere an expert in SC2, I don't play it even. But I think JD played well at defending. That fielded roaches were a mistake, but that's it. I liked JD's play, BW crisis management. That is just my opinion though

He played very greedy yes and should be punished by it, not even a spine was thrown down. (in the start) If you truly can't defend your base after having a good lead and seeing that your opponent is coming not once but two and actually even three times. Imo you shouldn't get a "well played" even not OK but "Improve you didn't play good." #nofluff

He was never really prepared to defend his 2/3rd base. I don't know but if I know the opponent is coming to kill my base I make sure to have units to defend... The thing it seems you dont understand is that JD was going muta. As its proleague, players cut corners. And he didnt build RW. So, when he see the 7 gate coming, he built an emergency RW. He built bunch of lings to save time for the roaches to come. But he had to buit the less amount of lings possible to save larvas of his roaches. So he saved time with lings, and his defense was pretty awesome. Killing the MSC with 2 queens, not lossing more than 9 drones to 9 zealots, managing to get the stalkers with lings and not fighting the zealots. And then the roaches come. Overall, it was a pretty good defense.

Yet, through bad decisions, Jaedong lost his third and macro hatch to a half-assed immortal sentry second all-in where one of the immortals was instantly picked off while he completely forgot about the recall ability. Even though Aria could win right there with a base trade as Jaedong had nothing at home, he recalls and defends, putting him ahead. However, Aria decided that he doesn't want to react to Mutalisks and lost all of his probes. His reaction time was 4 full seconds from when the mutalisks entered his vision, he even had stalkers right there. Jaedong then decides to suicide in to Aria's 2nd losing everything for nothing and putting Aria back in the game. Then Aria decides to attack in to spine crawlers (terribly positioned), ignoring the 2nd where he could have won the game by killing all the morphing crawlers, killing the third and walking up in to 30 spine crawlers. Terrible game by both players. If you only take in the mistakes players make then any game out there can be considered terrible, you also have to keep in mind the good things players did.

Imo you shouldn't get a "well played" even not OK but "Improve you didn't play good." #nofluff That was my point. He played extremely greedy (I never said he didn't) and he defended about as good as you could considering the situation. He microd his units very well, got his queens to snipe warp prism and then defended. Again playing greedy and getting caught and then defending it very well doesn't = "Wow jaedong played terrible he wasn't prepared!" that's a "jaedong played super greedy should have died/taken a lot of damage but was able to defend very well considering the situation". At least understand what you are calling terrible and what happened. He also didn't even see the army until it was pretty much at his third so yeah he had no time to put down spines. You are pretty much just blindly hating. btw again I think that roach warren should have been made sooner but jaedong wanted to go straight muta and played greedy THIS HAPPENS A LOT IN PROLEAGUE. How many times have you seen flash for example go 14 CC then get punished? Preparation and jaedong also scouted a robo so probably didn't think a 7 gate with it.
