Well it's no doubt they were taking us seriously, opening with Mvp then following up with YoDa says "this is our house, know your place new guys", but I don't think they expected our strategy.
"Know your place new guys" is a bit of a stretch when the team is basically SlayerS + Scarlett don't you think? Not a diss, just an observation.
Edit: Forgot Heart
Our model is not the SlayerS model, or indeed any other team-house. Players and coaches of other teams know this and I feel there are doubts as to our capabilities because we rely on the players to set their own schedules and goals. Azubu is not oGS just because it has a bunch of oGS players in it either, a team is far more than the sum of it's players.
Why does Mvp always underperform in teamleagues? Or is his shape already dwindling because of his injury? T;T I still not regret picking him in my main team, because him costing 4 points is almost an insult so I would keep him even if he lost all his matches but still somehow had good value so was tradable.
Funny now reading the first few pages, with Naruto defending Scarlett's capabilities (rightfully so), proving to be right. I knew it was a bad idea to pick her in my anti-team, same for MMA, and thankfully I didn't do it :D. Congrats to Axiom-Acer even though I did not win points because of your performance!
I must admit, I love going through this thread and reading all the Scarlett doubt on this side of last nights GSTL. Ryung looks quite strong as well. In any case, here's to more Axiom-Acer victories!

The year is long my friend. (Though I would never put MMA on my anti)
Seriously though, people here are waaaaay overstating the situation. Only about 50% were saying Mvp would win easy, the other 50% were calling a Scarlett win and/or all kill.

A winning one
Ax-Acer's bench is so deep they don't even need to send out their GSL champions. Up against the two winningest players in SC2's history (and, I've already forgotten his name, some guy who won IEM World Championships less than a month ago)? Yeah, we'll just send out our foreigners and code B and A players to deal with them. No big deal :D

Idk why you would call me your friend when i don't even know you, but okay. I'll just keep on laughing at the first 5 pages of people saying "MVP 4-0" or "MVP all-kill".

I like the new overlay, just wish the units killed/workers killed tabs looked like the original.. that and the victory splash screen look pretty cheesy compared to the originals.

It's a turn of phrase....
Not a native English speaker?
I am actually, born in America, washington DC. Ive never heard of it, partly because from all the places I've lived, ive never heard of somebody calling random strangers on the internet friends. But i suppose I'm just uneducated right?

Yeah maybe, at least on a social level. I mean that's a pretty common phrase both online and offline in my experience.
And he's right, Scarlett getting 1 kill is nothing to lose sleep over for those with her on their anti. Though I will consider taking her off for someone else.

Really???? Like seriously????
I'm honestly surprised you've never heard of it. That said, South Park did a joke about this once:
Yeah, never heard of it lol. I seriously don't see the point of it (I mean, calling strangers friends? Lol?) but I suppose I learned something new today (no matter how useless it might be)

There is no point of it, it's just cultural linguistics, it's like knowing certain groups of Americans use howdy as a Hi. I assume you will never take any cultural linguistics classes huh?
It is useless I suppose, definitely seen many engineering types say stuff like that in a condescending manner. They're not wrong, just a way to look at it.
